UN administrators flee “Kristallnacht” | 23:46 | B92

PRISTINA -- Wednesday – UN administrators have abandoned offices in the Kosovo towns of Gnjilane, Prizren and Pec, fleeing what one UNMIK official described to B92 as “Kristallnacht”.

“Kristallnacht is under way in Kosovo,” the official told B92 on condition of anonymity.

“What is happening in Kosovo must unfortunately be described as a pogrom against Serbs: churches are on fire and people are being attacked for no other reason than their ethnic background,” he added.

Serbs and UN officers have been the target of attacks by Kosovo Albanians during most of the day and night. The most dramatic withdrawal was from Belo Polje on the outskirts of Pec, where UNMIK officials, retreating with Serb residents, where forced to shoot Albanian assailants in self-defence.

The Serbian Orthodox seminary in Pec has been razed, and Albanians celebrated its destruction by setting fire to the local church., said the UN official.

=== Why would it be okay to say that Muslims betrayed Christ but not okay to say the same thing about Jews?

I should think that only a Jew who first had accepted Christ then could betray him. Muslims do accept Jesus -- but only to a certain extent -- placing Mohammed first and foremost.

And, again, I think it's important to remember that Islam is a Christian heresy even though that relationship seems harder to fathom, I guess, than Christianity's being somehow a Jewish heresy of sorts.

I see FR honored its internecine tradition this morning by stupidly banning another of its most choice and useful ornaments. As in so many other cases, this is fundamentally a matter of a moderator's misplaced zeal to uphold unwritten rules about how hate speech is to be defined and how punished -- not to mention a fine example of the way Victimhood Culture works by compelling society at large to submit to a consciousness-raising for the benefit of certified victim groups, in a purposely open-ended quest for imaginary offenses.

I shall be plain. Siobhan's comments, while pointed - as they ever are - were not hateful. They convey her disgust with Islam but they do not violate the Forum's posting guidelines. There was no profanity in the post. There was no personal attack. Finally, there is no racism, for the opinion Siobhan expresses with her wonted asperity - that Islam's radical opposition to Christianity derives from its heretical origin - is a strictly historical judgment.

It's a lamentable quality of this medium and the technology that supports it, that before they've even considered what they've read, readers leap to over-hasty conclusions and those charged with the prudent exercise of authority hand down ill (or un-) considered judgments. Not your finest hour, by a considerable margin.

There are few people more hell-bent on the destruction of Christians than the descendents of those who betrayed Jesus for satanic lies.

Concur. We've been fighting this war ever since Mad Mo came roaring out of the desert with fire and the sword. The great tragedy of the Crusades was that they failed to utterly crush the mohammedans.

This is absolutely unacceptable.

Why is it unacceptable? Looks moderately accurate to me.

Any Maronite (and there are some) who sides with the Terrs against my tribe are vermin same as the rags.

You can forget PC lecturing on this topic with me....I'm way beyond that.

Do you really think Christendom has been at war with the moon rockers for 1200 years for nothing. They were founded by the sword and must be brought to heel. It's them or us (throw in the Jews and others with us)....

I don't want my tax dollars (or military) going to help Muslims kill Christians regardless...ever.

Repsectfully.

There is that word again: Albanians.

But remember destro, they are NOT terrorists.... just "poor misguided miscreants". They need to be understood like the guys who flew those planes into the WTC and the Pentagon and the field in Pennsylvania. ugh.

Sooner or later, we'll all understand that we are only in the latest phase of a 1200 year world war.

Or we'll lose, and be under sharia law in a century.

The "main battleground" is whichever site butts up to your front door. For Serbs and Macedonians, smoldering seminary ruins and orthodox churches afire appear quite "central" in the Islamo-Fascist war for theocratic world hegemony. For Hindus, Kashmir seems the focal point. For Israelis, it's the West Bank or Gaza. For me, it's an ash-coated firehouse in lower Manhattan. I observe that significant factions of Muslims have trouble coexisting with a variety of disparate neighbors. These antagonistic tendencies do not bode well for the survival of Islam or those who embrace it. The memory of endless photos on lightposts and bulletin boards and plywood fences; the faces flapping in the wind, streaked and faded by rain; human torches swan-diving from the 100th floor; these fill my heart with bottomless and bloody vengeance. I know this American anger is common. Continued Muslim fixation on the destruction of the "other", we "kafirs",will provoke their own annihilation. Jihadists nota bene!

Indeed. They disobeyed orders, failed to accomplish their mission, and created a huge amount of ill will, 800 years later. Not good.

"Why is there a special code of PC speech regarding Jews, but not any other religious or ethnic group?"

I'm sorry, but even to ask that question is anti-Semitic. Please refer to the fine print on your copy of the Constitution under Amendment One.

Maybe you'll even get a chance to read this before the post is deleted by the Administrator.

"There are few people more hell-bent on the destruction of Christians than the descendents of those who betrayed Jesus for satanic lies."

It's pretty clear from context that this refers to Mohammedans.

But it's suitably ambiguous to someone with a guilty conscience -- say, hypothetically, someone belonging to a group that has relentlessly sought the de-Christianising of "the West" but nevertheless understands that the group's continued survival may depend on the willingness of these ex-Christian Westerners to be deployed as its armed surrogates.

If the hired help downstairs ever knew what master and his family were saying about them in private, they might just be inclined to hand in their notice and let master fend for himself. And we coudn't have that, now, could we?

Moderators,

I agree completely with Askel5 in post #154 and Romulus in post #162.

Siobhan meant the Albanian Muslims in her comment on the article.

“Kristallnacht is under way in Kosovo,” the official told B92 on condition of anonymity.
“What is happening in Kosovo must unfortunately be described as a pogrom against Serbs: churches are on fire and people are being attacked for no other reason than their ethnic background,” he added.

The "satanic lies" Siobhan referred to are the lies of Mohammed. Hillaire Belloc (and many others) have classified Islam as a Christian heresy (see his book The Great Heresies). Siobhan clearly agrees with him that today's Muslims are "descendents of those who betrayed Jesus."

I have been a close FR friend of Siobhan since an October, 2002 thread, and can vouch that she has never posted anything anti-semetic, but that she is very knowledgeable about the evils of radical Islam. She is a valuable asset to FreeRepublic, being one of the few Freepers who can actually speak Arabic.

Moderators, please lift your ban on Siobhan and allow her to return to FreeRepublic.

If Siobhan got ZOTted for posting that the mohammedans are hell-bent on the destruction of Christians, there's something seriously wrong with Management, here.

SHE SPOKE THE TRUTH.

One should not be punished for speaking the truth on a conservative web forum. That's part of what we're about, here.

So here it is, again:

There are few people more hell-bent on the destruction of Christians than the descendents of those who betrayed Jesus for satanic lies.

as your post seem to imply, I don't get it. I've seen that said about Jews several times a week lately and Muslims several times a day.
