Kerry says people are born gay

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry says he believes people are born gay but are not guaranteed the right to marry within their own gender.

"I think it's entirely who you are from birth, personally," Kerry said in an interview to be broadcast on MTV. "Some people might choose, but I think that it's, it's who you are. I think you have ... people need to be able to be who they are."

Asked why he favors civil unions instead of marriage if people are born gay, Kerry replied: "What is distinct is the institutional name or whatever people look at as the sacrament within a church, or within a synagogue or within a mosque as a religious institution. There is a distinction. And the civil state really just adopted that, and it's the rights that are important, not the sort of ... the name of the institution."

In a transcript released Friday by MTV for its Tuesday special "Choose or Lose: 20 Million Questions for John Kerry," the presumptive Democratic nominee said he favors civil unions to give people partnership, inheritance and other rights.

"I think that people have a right in America to be who they are," Kerry said. "I believe very strongly that we can advance the cause of equality by moving toward civil union."

"I think it's entirely who you are from birth, personally,"

Then it must be genetic but this has been refuted in identical twin studies.

And, since John Wayne Gacy got his rocks off by murdering young boys, that was genetic as well...

And the guy who cheats on his wife (with prostitutes, or whoever)...that isn't a choice either.

If it feels good to you, then it must be genetic.

"I think it's entirely who you are from birth, personally," Kerry said in an interview

So, Miss Kerry admits (in his unique nuanced way) that he is the poster child for "born loser".

it's a lifestyle choice, like wearing a toupee or working out

"President Bush supports a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, a measure Kerry opposes on the grounds that marriage is a state issue"

Making a note that Kerry supports state's rights over federalism.

I bet that'll last.

Geez, why can't the man just say what he believes? Say he's against the ammendment because he's for gay rights. Why so cowardly? This is a leader?

And gay men's mothers are almost always born dominators who are very close to their sons and gay men's fathers are almost always born emotionally distant to the point that their sons can't bond with the male role model they should bond with.

Besides, doesn't it take a village to raise a gay child?

Listen, I've seen a lot of births on TV, and one in person. There ain't nuttin' gay about that screaming little person until the first feeding. Or the first nap.

I mean just look at that scrunched-up face, all red and angry. That's anything but gay.

("What? Gay like in homosexual? . . . . Never mind.")

This sounds like a man NAMBLA can really get behind.

If the urge to shun women and prefer another mans anus was genetic, wouldn't evolution had of eliminated that gene???

Left wingers never let science get in the way of ideology (homosexuality is genetic, humans are causing global warming, acid rain, ad nauseum).

If Kerry Believes that people are born gay, then people also must be born being petaphiles and poligamists! Lets see how far this science flys!

I remember a medical article about a guy who had a reaction to some hormone medication. Where it gave him sexual urges that were different than how he usually was (I don't remember if he wa straight or homosexual). I wondered if it is something that supposedly happens at birth and has to do with hormone imbalance, why are so many opposed to having some way to balance those hormones?
