This tells me he's having trouble raising money. The atmosphere at that DUD told me the Democrats aren't excited about Kerry.

I've heard other things as well, things like how Kerry's campaign has no ground organization at the state and local levels in many places. All he's got is a bunch of media buzz and flash and glitzy celebrity bling-bling. Knocking on doors, putting signs up on street corners and working the phone banks is not glamorous work, but even in this age of mass media buys and the internet, old-fashioned legwork is essential to any political campaign.

I'm here in Central Florida, and I can't remember the last time I saw or heard a John Kerry ad on TV or the radio. There's been a few ads by MoveOn and other left-wing whack job groups, but nothing actually put out by the Kerry campaign. And while there haven't been many Bush ads yet, there have been some, and they are making an impression. Considering what happened here in 2000, Kerry should be making this state his second home.

Yeah, there sure hasn't been a huge groundswell of grassroots support for Kerry. I live in Northeast Montana, in a county that's probably 50/50 Republican/Democrat, and I haven't seen a Kerry bumper sticker or lawn sign at all. This time in 2000, there were quite a number of Gore signs in this county.

Want to hear some more good news? Bush has all ready signed up over 12 MILLION people to work in the grass roots part of his campaign. Bush's ground game is going to be awesome in the battle ground states. The problem we face is the Moveon.org types have a basically unlimited war chest backed up by a DNC directed "News Media" which is NOT going to even pretend to objectivity this time. We need everyone we can get to sign up at
