The English make great breeding stock, when they are cross fertilized. I should know. I am 100% English, Welsh and Scottish stock, so far as I know. There was a rumor some French was in there, but I think it has been refuted, and is BS (the rumor is that one line of the clan was descended from the bastard brother of Lafayette; how special; another rumor is that the Quebec line was named Benoit, when it turned out to be Bennett, and from Scotland). Maybe the Celtic via the Welsh and Scotch saves me from being butt ugly, as opposed to only modestly ugly. :)

I know, my paternal grandmother's maiden name was Harrison, and her mother's was Lee. But mixed in with the nearly pure German (Kunz) on my maternal Grandmother's side, along with some unknown contributions from the grandfathers' sides, we aren't impossibly ugly, although sort of strangely built. :)
