Per CNN and FoxNews, the 130 figure seemed to be enemy soldiers/insurgents, not Coalition.

Remember, All! During breaking news like this, reports get mixed up/incomplete/partial facts, etc. Just hang in there and be patient at the reports--some reporters are more anxious to get a 'breaking headline' than in getting an accurate report.

Ar Ramadi is west of Baghdad, west and on the corner of Fallujah. Earlier today it was reported that the al-Sadr followers were enroute to assist their fellow 72 virgin seeking jihadist out in Fallujah.

We do have a problem. Allow me to mention two of them.

Number 1, We have enemies of ours that are now hiding in mosques for protection and because of our "politically correct" sensitivities, we are impotent to do anything about it.

Number 2, Although we have superiour firepower and can have all of these Jihadis on their knees in a day we are afraid to use it for fear of hurting or killing innocents in the process thereby neutralizing the threat the superiour firepower is supposed to present.

Example: What good is a nuke if your enemy knows for sure that you won't use it.

Even Brit isn't perfect and sometimes gets it wrong..Fallujah is Sunni(Saddam stronghold).Ramadi is in the corner of the Sunni triangle.

I don't know if it is official yet who exactly attacked the Marine compound.I thought it was Sadr's Shiite bunch,but since then,the reports aren't firm.I think some of these young men are nationalistic.

Iraqi militants and rebellious Shiites challenged the US-led occupation force on two fronts, mounting a string of attacks across the south that left dozens of people dead.

Sixteen Iraqis died in battles with US Marines in Fallujah, and at least 26 more - many of them women and children - were killed in a late-night rocket strike by the US military, hospital officials said.

In all, more than 140 Iraqis and 18 American soldiers have died in three days of clashes, the worst fighting since the war that toppled Saddam Hussein. A Salvadoran soldier and one from Ukraine also were killed.

In Fallujah, Marines drove into the centre of the Sunni city in heavy fighting before pulling back before nightfall. The assault had been promised after the murder of four American civilians there last week.

"A large number of soldiers have been killed in fierce fighting in Iraq, according to unconfirmed reports.


Some reports have put the toll as high as 130 but others have put the death toll at 12 with 20 wounded."

In this context, it almost seems like the initial report did refer to American troops. Prayers for the soldiers.

I cannot express my gratefulness for the job the American troops are doing over there.
