Right! I hate this extreme concern about a bird egg while thousands, thousands die! The world is totally insane.
My reading class uses a book of non-fiction to build fluency ie, how fast can you read 100 words with NO mistakes at a given reading level. One of the books has an entry about Rachel Carsen. It discussed in 100 words how great and brave she was. Yadda Yadda Yadda. I yanked it out. One of my kids asked me why and I told him it was my class and I did not allow trash like that in it.
She means the destruction of bird eggs, not human beings. Human deaths from disease in a world without DDT is okay in this idiot Rachel's estimation. She has caused the deaths of more people than all wars put together. But at least we save a bird egg--maybe. AlGore is cut from the same cloth as Rachel. A stark-raving idiot. When are we going to say, enough's enough???
