Jeep mounted field confessional.

Reminds me of my days as a captain with the 101st doing field communion on the hood of a Jeep. I (literally) ran the wheels off that jeep. I've got pictures someplace.

The little mod that the ladies of the chapel had to do was put what we now would call a "Burka" viewing port in the curain that separated the front seats from the back seat where Father Ondo would be.

He was a character. Had a guide-on with the cross in black on camo that his driver would stick in the ground in front of the jeep as Father Ondo climbed into the back to wait. Then the driver would run around letting everyone know that the Chaplain was on site. Once confession was over he'd sent the driver out again to let everyone know the order of services Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish. He used to mix up the order just to be fair.
