Here down south in America, American flags are still being bought by people. I now have six flags; 4 smaller ones in my room and 2 bigs ones, one with a pole that my mom bought two days ago that I will hang outside of my house soon, relieving my plasic flag on my front window that is losing color from sun exposure. But this shows that Americans love their country more than Canadians love theirs.

In the Northeast too. The local Hardware store in my town keeps quite a variety of sizes and materials available in the Old Glory section. The owner orders for that section everyday he tells me.

On another note, Mrs. B.S. Roberts and I were on a local citizens committee charged with the task of designing and renovating a local park/playground. We were given $60,000 to do it. Part of our plan was to make sure a properly lit flagpole would fly the Stars and Stripes 24x7. Since the project's completion, I have kept my eye on that flag. When it starts to get faded or frayed, someone in the Town Parks Department makes sure that a new nylon 4x6 flag gets hoisted up there. I haven't had to do it once...and I was certain that I'd have to be the one to make sure it got done.
