Heat? LOL

Exactly. Ranger school is heat. STABO is heat. A 500 foot equipment jump is heat. Combat is heat (not as bad as Ranger school, though). Being in the middle of a crowd of agitated Muslims is heat. Having to fly in bad weather is heat. Trying to engender some patriotism in your nephew in Massachusetts is heat (his mom threw away the "war toys" I gave him for Christmas!).

Getting some nasty emails isn't heat. It isn't even close, but given the pampered, sheltered, unrealistic life Rene Gonzalez has led to date, it's understandable that he can't see the difference. Understandable, not excusable.

d.o.l.

Typical leftist scumbag apology. Not an apology for the act itself, but for some vague "insensitivity".

Typical "progressive" rat. He's sorry. Real sorry.

That for once more than 6 people read his insane rantings.

I'm reminded of a book written by Dr. Scott Peck, "People of the Lie"

That book changed my life. Everybody must realize their own potential for evil to grow as a person. To feel the pain of being wrong is to mature. Tammy Bruce has a book about the Liberals being Malignant Narcissists. My mother-in-law is one. They truly are from hell. It's not too late for Mr. Gonzales, but the longer you live a lie the more painful it is to pull out of it. There is a big difference between telling a lie and living a lie. All lies come from the same place.

"Gonalez e-mailed a Boston TV station to apologize for being 'insensitive'". This is a metaphor for all of liberalism: words and actions are ephemeral - of no consequence. Hence the adult children of today.

An appropriate action, in view of Gonalez's (tittering) acknowledgement of "insensitivity", is, yes, community service - in the U.S. military. If he is man enough at core to deign to clean latrines in basic training (unintended but appropriate pun), he may perhaps be forgiven.

Otherwise, remember the name: Rene Gonzalez.

I could be quick and sharp and urge Gonzalez to do the honorable thing and commit suicide as atonement for being a deformed example of human excrement.....but, I won't. Hero Tillman exemplifies the utmost that the American man can aspire to. Coward Gonzalez exemplifies the worst that America can produce. Most of us fall in between the two examples.

Many men and women will be remembered and honored as history is written. Hero Cpl. Pat Tillman and thousand of men and women have their names and deeds branded into our personal and national memories.

Coward Rene Gonzalez does, as well. But, for his impudence and gall at besmirching a man whose presence he's unfit to behold. May Coward Gonzalez' life be spent atoning for his idiotic "opinions".

hope this thing follows him around for years to come with potential employers. he couldn't even get away with this in academia, the private sector would definitely frown on this sort of thing.

I really wish some one would deeply check into his immigration status

I read your letter - WONDERFUL! And so intelligently put, contrary to that mumbo-jumbo Gonzales wrote.

I've been wondering about Jack Wilson. Is he a typically liberal, politically-correct university president, who made his statement in hopes of minimizing the negative publicity for his university from the student's comment, or was he really upset by it? How have the faculty reacted? Are any of them calling for a vote of no confidence in the president, or had he sufficiently established his liberal credentials beforehand?

Rene Gonzalez is but typical fruit from the liberal vine that's corroding this nation. Such as this RGonzalez make up a sizeable percentage of the JohnFecklessKerry support and worshippers of the clintons.

An article such as this one serves to reveal what fecal material is produced by liberalism and as such could help America awaken from the selfish stupor of indulging these degenrates for too long while cowering from the political correctness boggie waved for too long to too great an effect.

This nation is in trouble when the editorial oversight of a major university paper condones such filth on its pages. Sadly, this prick will be a prime journalist hire for NYT, LAT, Chicago Tribune, Atalanta JOurnal/Constitution, or news and editorial rooms such as found at ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, CNN, or al Jazeera.

Thank you all so much for your kind words about the piece I wrote responding to this Gonzales kid.

I was also literally sputtering when I first learned of his comments about Pat Tillman. Felt like I owed it, not only to Mr. Tillman but to all of our fighting forces present and past to, well, watch their backs here at home while they are giving so much for us.

I dunno if it did any good, but it made me feel a bit better! Y'all should see the hate mail I'm receiving on it. Phew -- guess the truth hurts those lefties, eh?

Blessings to you all -- again, thank you for your encouraging words.

Considering the great numbers of Hispanics who enlist I would think Senor Snotnosed could find a few cursing his sorry @ss out in Spanish as well as in English. Those whose boys paid the ultimate price in this war and others will not give him a pass for being a hermano.

I'm not surprised that a clueless 18 yr old would think the way Gonzalez does. What surprised me was the people running the student paper allowing that trash to be printed therein.
