I would advise anyone to avoid the city of Boston during this convention time. The traffic is a nightmare as it is anyhow. The closing of the arteries (Big Dig) is surely going to endear a lot of locals to the Democrat Party. Boston is simply not ready for prime time, and the fiasco to come is going to be fun to behold in a perverse way.

Once it is all over the Globe and a few other media outlets will rave about what a success it all was. The added expenses will be covered by increased hotel and taxi surcharges as well as greater fines for parking and towing costs. They will I am certain find many other new and exciting ways to tax for this logistical nightmare.

You think Boston is going to be bad just wait until the Repub convention comes here to NYC. Bad enough the traffic by the Garden is horrendous every day - 15 groups of protestors have gotten permits already. It is going to be a living nightmare here. Do you have any idea if there will be any protestors for the Dem convention?
