In my view, we no longer understand how to wage war.

Well, brutalizing prisoners has no place in any war we wage.

I've got two sons who are cops, and they say it's all they can do sometimes to keep from beating some of these perps to a pulp, especially when they see dead kids, or a wife, bloody and crying.

But, they don't, even when they could get away with it.

but some cops do, let's not be naive here, some do. and when it happens, I don't see police commissioners all over the country resigning.
