forcing them to watch videos of American soldiers having sex with each other is beyond human capacity for cruelty

Huh? Yes, it's disgusting but I don't think it is beyond the capacity for human cruelty. The Muslims are the ones with the penchant for cruelty beyond human capacity. Go look at the photos of the American contractors' remains hanging from a bridge and tell me with watching a sex-video is cruel. Unbelievable!

Yeah... Considering the fact that most of the pics we've seen so far were with women... (weren't 4 of the 7 soldiers we have detained females?)

I could be missing something... but I just don't see a necessary homosexual connection.

I'd expect most the consensual sex videos are between Lynnsey and her guy.

The pyramids n other stuff being with male Iraqis... well, how many female Iraqi prisoners were there? And they prolly wouldn't want to be that cruel to a female prisoner.

Not sayin there couldn't be a "homo porn ring", but I don't see any reason to assume it...

Still sounds to me to be just a buncha kids with poor morals and zero brains. Morality wise ... bet they're still cleaner than most college campuses these days.

Don't Ask, Don't Tell was passed by Congress and signed by Clinton into law. Do you really think that Pres Bush and SecDef Rumsfeld could overturn a part of the US Code with the stroke of a pen?

Wait -- this is your chance to bash Bush/Rumsfeld. Excuse me for butting in!

Well, on further consideration, you might have a point. With enough counseling they might have a chance to live normal lives, but some of them may never again enjoy sex with Muslim women unless they're wearing camouflage panties.

I think the whole thing is likely a setup.

Here's why: The military people involved probably changed their minds about the validity of the war after being influenced by the anti war, anti-American media. A certain number of those involved probably thought the military was just a good way to straighten out their lives and pay for college. Think about it. You've got some people there in uniform serving for over a year in a war in which they expected to be welcomed as liberators super PO'ed that they're not going home. Instead, they land in a country where no one can be trusted not to shoot them or blow them up. They read stuff on the INTERNET and in the Liberal papers that sway them over to the other side. After a while, they start to fantasize about how to discredit the military and especially the administration that sent them there. A few individuals in our normally extremely honorable armed forces decide upon revenge. The idea occurs to some that pictures of humiliated, naked POW's would shame our country.

Part of the enemy is within and always has been and always will be.

The President should explain that there are always "destructive opportunists" to be found in all organizations, cultures and religions, or some such term, just as he explains that all Muslims are not terrorists. He is setting the example for the world by purging the criminal element among us, rather than condoning them.

The fact that he's having the courts martial in the convention center is a brilliant strategy.

Hang on!
I need to ping you to Southack's #105 on another thread.
It's a gay porn ring.
You'll see.

"The reason why active duty personnel look down on Reservists and Guardsmen is due to the difference levels in their training. Things that active duty personnel do as a matter of routine from daily practice have to be learned by Reservists and Guardsmen."

I wouldn't know about that. All I know is that my son made the choice to lay down his life for his country if called upon to do so, and that he is working his butt off training to become a combat medic so that he can hopefully save the lives of other brave men and woman who have made that same choice. I don't think he deserves to be looked down on by anybody.

Well remember, we are talking rough generalities and stereotypes. A good man will always shine above that to those who know him.

And don't forget, we've got a great president who was a guardsman...

Yeah... the little speaker to the right of your on the upper right of the page.

Anyway... I read it. And I agree 100% with everything he said... just not the gay part. lol *cringes*

Why have the females in there? The only thing that looks gay is the fact that the prisoners are men. But.. they would be.

I think gays, being kinda liberal, would not find this erotic. There is an element of consensuality even in their S&M that this really offends.

Watch it turn out to be tho, and I look stupid. lol

Some of the Arab prisoners are shaved (chests).
Likely to sell better in Europe.
I'm sticking with Southack's take.
Why women?
Well, what else to do with them?
LOL!

"The reason why active duty personnel look down on Reservists and Guardsmen is due to the difference levels in their training. Things that active duty personnel do as a matter of routine from daily practice have to be learned by Reservists and Guardsmen."

THAT is mostly BS.....my husband's outfit competed against the actice duty guys and won everytime......

maybe you would like a forced draft, and then we can quit relying on the sacricfices of the reserves and guard.....no retirement for them after doing a 20 yr stint, to begin with.....

or perhaps we can just leave the Guard and Reserves home here, and extend the mission of the active duty guys in Iraq, say , to the end of the war.......heck, I guess they don't need any stinking time off.....

LOL OK... It could be.

Yer gonna get in trouble for the "what else to do with them" thing, tho. ; ) I'll defend ya. (like it'll help, lol)

Personally, I don't think women have any business over there at all cept to guard other women. (K, now I'm in deeper than you. lol)

BTW, I just noticed your tagline! Funny... I posted almost the same thing earlier tonight in answer to "Why should we defend Rummy" question.

Right.
Women have no business in war zones.
I'll go even further.
Keep them off the Navy ships.
In fact, keep them out of the military.
Now for the flames.
I do not care.
I am tired tonight.
Must call it an early (for me) night.
