Open-minded means respecting others values that differ from your own. I have no problem with Homeschoolers, you seem to have a problem with us who choose public education.

Other than my disgust at their lack of consideration for the education of their children and the resultant harm to the republic, I don't have a problem with people who dump their children in public school.

"Open-minded means respecting others values that differ from your own"

Oh, you mean values like five years of "welcome to your penis education", making condoms assessible, banning conservative clubs from schools, Gunpoint polie searches for drugs, Leftist indoctrination materials and slanted textbooks, Global Warming is going to kill us all, your kid is so stupid we have to have a medical form from a doctor before he can take a Rolaids after lunch, Teaching immoral values through literature (not the books themselves, but mocking the kid's opinions on them if they differ from the leftist teacher), blatant racism against white students by some black teachers, but you cant call it that because everyone knows blacks can't be racists, sixth grade school dances, We don't care if you learn, we just want you be be able to pass the test, How dare you question our authority here at school?, We will never ever say we were wrong or apologize for a grievous error on our part, We'll keep an incompetant teacher for at least a year because if we don't spend the money in the budget we'll lose that much in Federal funding next year...............

I'm teaching my kids not to be sheep and not to blindly accept everything the school teaches without first checking other sources. I've spent countless hours over the years "deprogramming" my kids from the leftist BS that is shoveled at them everyday in school.

I would hope as a conservative you would at least check the course content of your children's texts and workbooks.

"Open-minded means respecting others values that differ from your own."

It most certainly does not! Open-mindedness means I respect the rights of others to determine their own values (provided they don't impinge on mine). It does not require me to respect the values themselves.
