Bus illness stymies B.C. investigators
By CP
VANCOUVER -- The mystery of what caused riders of a transit bus to become ill has deepened with the discovery that some small brown pellets found on board turned out to be thyme, mud and a pine substance. There were early reports the brown pellets were a form of phosphine -- a fumigant that, in pellet form, releases a toxic gas when it comes in contact with humid air. Phosphine is an industrial pesticide, and can cause nausea, vomiting, bronchitis, shortness of breath, convulsions and death.
A woman on the bus said that as a man was leaving the bus he asked the driver how his day was going.
The driver said it was fine and the witness said the man then replied it wouldn't be for long.

JG has learned that two days ago the disaster response team was mobilized in Gettsburg. A FEMA friend called to advise a number of agencies are on maximum alert.
There was a security blockade on 15 random checking cars and trucks with at least 15-20 police cars and government vehicles in the vicinity of Three Mile Island.
She said coming in to the 30 & 15 intersection of Gettsburg near Walmart there had been a flashing light that normally flashed white. She noticed it then flashed red and then it was solid red. Another FReepers said they were testing it and the next day it was back to white. It then went back to red and last night it was GONE. Many strange things going on. JerseyGirl did not have access to her computer so I am relaying this info for her.
