I dislike it when people come and bang on my door, be they salesmen or peopl trying to convert me.

I just point at the "No Soliciting" sign", smile and close the door without speaking.

I tried that, and it usually works, but I had a REALLY aggressive pair once that literally stuck a foot in my door.


Used to be really bad when we lived about a mile from a Jehovah's Witness Hall.


Bunch of it stopped when we got our dog. She was very protective and didn't like strangers.

a sign that they are earning points in heaven.

"We must be over the target.  Look at all the flak we're getting."

This moronic mantra gets a lot of use by those who think being insulted is some sort of victory.
