license display will allow police officers to determine more easily whether a performer is complying with city regulations

Sure they'll be looking at the license tag. Sounds like a great detail for the male officers! (and some of the female officers too!)

"You need a license to strip???? "

Yeah right. Next we're gonna need a license to go to the toilet. Probably require us to have a hazmat placard on our butts.

I thought TADSLOS made a truly excellent point.

Even the phrase 'Illegal Alien' is being treated like a racial slur. Illegal Aliens are petitioning to get college education discounts, Social Security, special grants and privileges that hard working American's do not qualify for.

Now, the city of Houston is requiring LEGALLY employed Americans to display their ID; yet the police are forbidden from even asking to see the ID of a suspected Illegal Alien.

It is a very good point.

I say we require all illegal aliens to wear an ID badge as well.

Not only do most dancers not use their real names, lots of clubs refuse to let them use their real names.

I don't think much of stripping as a profession, but I also don't think they should be put at even more risk just because the city wishes the clubs weren't legal.

Looks like there will be a few openings for ballerinas.

I think some will quit.

ridiculous law/decision, outlaw stripping or make the laws about licenses sensible......

remember the HPD and Kmart parking lot fiasco? How will HPD use this new decision?

Expect more inspections.

Every year it seems there are reports of the fire inspector checking out the topless bars "during business hours".

I would think that anyone who goes to watch a stripper wouldn't need the parts labeled.
