why is Sadr still alive?

Because we don't want to offend people who hate us and want to kill us because they might hate us and want to kill us.

Is Sadr still alive because of PC. I am sick of hearing about our soldiers getting killed and people like Sadr not being taken care of permanently.

Not quite

They might criticize and taunt us while they hate and kill us.

Because he is still hiding in a mosque and for some reason Bush has put them absolutley off limits as military targets.

>>>"why is Sadr still alive?"

Because we must "give PC a chance."
</sarcasm off>

OK, let me take a swing at the correct answer:

Because the military was told not to kill him.

Perhaps only if Sadr himself was firing into one of our platoon of men would he be shot.

In looking back over the entire Iraq campaign I believe there was a strategy to prevent Iraqi casualties as well as our own. I was sort of hoping for a little more discipline than that being put on the mis-behaving Baa'thists.

Unless there's a sense of defeat among the Baa'thists their hatred will rise again to bite us in the butt.

Hoppy

They got a tip from Sadr to be there with cameras, but were a little late arriving. [sarc]

It won't. The media has made the administration scared to death of fighting. The administration is deathly afraid of doing anything that might be perceived as politically incorrect. After all, we don't want to hurt the self-esteem of the people who are trying to kill us.

I remember reading that he moves between towns giving "spechees". One bomb dropped "by mistake" in his convoy would do

Like you I've been asking that question every day for months now. Politically correct war just isn't for me.

Why couldn't it be possible that an entirely different group committed the deed in order to incite our military to attack Sadr?

If it can be proven it was Sadr's thugs, then let the lead start flying....but until you can prove it, you have to weigh the ramifications of bringing Sadr down to room temperature.
