Ivan..conservatives may well win in Canada..Bush wil win comfortably this fall, sounds like the good guysin the UK are getting the vote becuase of the EU referendum....what's going on?..can the Tories get their act together on your side of the pond?...let me pose the question ina different manner. Of al the Brit pols today, which one,IYHO, has the potential to be the most "Thatcherlike."
I think the UKIP is going to do well today. While the Conservatives are showing a lack of confidence in conservative ideas, the UKIP is unabashedly Thatcherite in its opposition to bureaucratism, high taxation, the EU, political correctness and the nanny state. These ideas are about to be seen as popular - now, if the Tories pick them up, they will do very well. If not, we can continue to see bleeding to the UKIP until we see a merger of the UKIP and the Tories, in a Canada-style arrangement.
Just my opinion.
