26 Democrats said this. So what? In another story, Al Gore has announced that the world is round.

Al Gore has announced that the world is round.

I guess he should know, he invented the world.

This looks like out-of-work government bureaucrats applying for jobs in a not-to-be Kerry administration.

I wish the LA Times would just hurry up and die.
What a yawner.

Actually, I find this story encouraging.
I have been hoping that Bush was quietly emptying the State Department of some of the entrenched socialists and appeasers, and cleaning the Clinton debris out of the feminized, panty-waist Pentagon. It appears he is doing just that.

It's their #1 story, top right hand corner of page 1.

Blatant media bias to treat opinions as the biggest story of the day.

I despise this paper.

"Senior diplomats?"

I've felt for a very long time that one of the worlds most anti-American organizations is based in "Foggy Bottom." The US State Department! It seems to me that they're always working in the interests of the foreign governments.

Remember, they were strongly against President Reagan's foreign and military policies too.

...former Air Force Chief of Staff Merrill A. McPeak

In my experience, a man hated just as much as Clinton by military members.

Fitting he should be for Kerry.

Adm. William J. Crowe Jr., though named chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Reagan, supported Clinton in 1992. Crowe has endorsed Kerry. Retired Adm. Stansfield Turner served as Carter's director of central intelligence and has also endorsed Kerry.

Adm. William Crowe? Adm. Stansfield Turner? Stansfield Turner?? Sheesh. On the bright side, Hack didn't put himself on this list of old farts.

He was probably off at the mall looking for that perfect little black outfit....

it would make sense for the bush campaign to get a bunch of former foreign service types and maybe political scientists to issue a counter-statement.

Sigh...

NY Times has an echo chamber now on the Left Coast.
Watch how many papers pick up this dribble just like the poll that shown to be swiss cheese with it's sampling errors.
