Man has two kids with own daughter!

STRANGE how some people behave! She is in love with a man more than twice her age – which could be usual. She had a ten-year affair with the same man from the age of 15 – that is unusual.

But most unusual of all – she has declared her undying love for the same man, but he is her own paternal father!

But, that’s not all. The couple sired two siblings from the incestuous affair.

This did not take place in one of those Saturday evening African movies but in Harare, the magistrates’ court heard Tuesday.

Statement Gamara (52) and his daughter Monica (25) pleaded guilty to a charge of incest when they first appeared before the magistrate court on Friday last week. “Zvinongoitikawo (…it happens),” was all Monica could say when magistrate Judith Tsamba asked her why she fell for her own father.

Tears tumbled down the cheeks of shell-shocked relatives in the gallery forcing court officials to drive them out of the courtroom. But they would soon return and shed more tears as the story unfolded.

According to the State, led by Savious Kufandada, about 25 years ago Gamara impregnated his sister’s friend only referred to in the charge sheet as Stella and the two got ‘married.’As per custom Stella went back to her parents’ home to give birth and was blessed with a baby girl who was given the name Monica. However, she did not go back to her husband after giving birth.

The court heard that Monica grew up in the custody of her grandparents and her mother.

Stabbed by the strange sword of loneliness, Gamara married another woman called Plaxedes Phosa. In 1993 Gamara demanded custody of Monica and was given the child. Five years down the line Monica fell pregnant as a result of a love affair that had budded between her and her father.

She lied to her aunt, Hardwick Gamara that the pregnancy belonged to a ‘boyfriend’ in Kuwadzana.

The aunt ordered the niece to pack her bags so that she could facilitate her elopement but Monica threatened suicide by attempting to take poison.

Knowing that the child in his daughter’s womb was his own, Gamara intervened, taking custody of Monica under the guise that he did not want his daughter to suffer.

“He said he was going to look after his daughter as he did not want her to suffer,” read the charge sheet.

Later, Monica gave birth to a baby boy thus buttressing the couple’s ‘marriage’ as they continued to live together. A few years later, Monica fell pregnant again, giving birth to a baby girl.

“This time Monica admitted that she was having an affair with her father and that the father was also responsible for the first child,” Kufandada said.

The father and daughter decided to run away from where they were staying and started a new life in some ‘other’ place. But it was like running away from their own shadows and surely like a veldfire, word about the ‘odd couple’ quickly spread out leading to their arrest.

Tsamba is expected to sentence the couple on Wednesday.

In a related incident, a Chinhoyi magistrate has also deferred the sentencing of a Chinhoyi teacher, Washington Kuipa and his daughter Alice who are facing five counts of incest to June 22 this year.

The two lovebirds first fell in love in year 2000 when Alice, now a trainee student of nursing at Chinhoyi hospital, was aged 16. Chinhoyi’s ‘odd pair’ has also pleaded guilty to the charges of incest.

"Oh how the hell that was Rhodesia has been transformed into the paradise of Zimbabwe. Just waiting for the same in South Africa."

Sadly it is happening. I spent several years in S.A. and Rhodesia as well as most of the western African countries in the late 60's and early 70's. We got extremely bad reporting of the news back in the States. There was so much promise and so little progress realized in the area. It is sad to see the backward direction Africa is headed in.

Yes it is.

I'm not sure who dreamed up the idea of a murderous firey turtle, but there he is.

" Incest is OK, if you keep it within the family. "

Well I'm sure it's okay and "natural" according to the ACLU, the muslim Taliban world, Hollywood whacked out secularist(satanic) liberals.

(Sarcasm) It's all in good fun...barf!

"Basically the same thing Woody Allen said. ("The heart wants what it wants.")"

As the doped up anorexic and dumbed down Hollywood liberal female contingency stood by their man. Sick freaks, all of them.

Who works in the Department of Redundancy Department. How the meaning altered by saying "he is her father!".

The essence of neuroticism as stated by the quintessential neurotic.

Stabbed by the strange sword of loneliness

That is one way of putting it. I think our own j schools could use a little more instruction in the poetry of journalistic prose. LOL.

Shouldn't that have been the dull sword of loneliness?

Didn't Lot mumble something about thinking they were the last people left on earth? Somehow that always seemed like a feeble excuse to me. You can't help wondering how long and hard he searched for other survivors.
