If the Saudis behead the Alqueda prisioners those savages wanted returned to them and puts their beheading pics on the internet maybe it could be a deterrent.
We have no control over the reactions of the Saudi government but if they decide to do it I wouldn't mind one bit. I think I will send the Saudis an email of encouragement to do just that. A head for a head....

That our media gatekeepers will not allow. Can't have the hoi poloi forming opinions unsuitable to their noble goals.

Media gatekeepers? We can't even post the photos HERE!

The Nazis tried that with the Partisans in Yugoslavia and the French Resistance: kill ten of theirs if they get one of yours. It didn't discourage the Partisans or Resisters, but steeled their resolve.

It truly saddens me to say this, but I think it is not a battle of deterrence. Nations are deterred, not movements like Al Quaeida. It is a battle of extermination. It will end when all the enemy are killed or imprisoned.

I do not share the view that the only good Muslim is a dead one. I have known many Muslims who are good people in every sense of the word. And ultimately, it is the good Muslims who must fight the battle. We can only encourage and try to empower the good Muslims to take on and defeat the bad ones.

It is a battle for the soul of Islam. If the good does not win, we may well have to kill them all or be killed. We are not at that point yet, and may the Good Lord preserve us from ever getting there.

"And ultimately, it is the good Muslims who must fight the battle. "

Yeah well, how come we hear absolutely nothing from those so called "good" muslims then? In my book of true equality there is no such thing as a good muslim since their backward misogynys religion OPRESSES women...HELLO!

I agree with your overall ideas. But they really only understand strength. Maybe it's a religious thing?

All of Europe including most people in Britain perpetuated the nonsense conspiracy stories that our selfless, courageous CIA beheaded Nick Berg, along with other conspiracy stories about every occurrence in the War on Terror.

Are we going to continue pussyfooting around neo-NAZI, anti-Christian conspiracy propaganda from those you-know-what's, or are we going to cut off trade and intelligence links with those sneaky, backstabbing enemies and trade with our real friends?

And don't mention who our real friends are. "...loose lips," you know.

There are a few people who deserve a full color spread of this horrendous cold blooded murder of an innocent.

The likes of teddy kennedy, harkin, leahy, pelosi, daschle, kerry, hitlery, etc.

Big and full color and PLASTERED to their office doors.

With the question, of course, so are you still claiming that Abu Garib torture is equivalent to Saddam the terrorists torture methods?

If Mr Johnson had been treated like the prisoners at Abu Garib, he might be naked right now (with a hood on), and he might be humiliated, but HE WOULD BE ALIVE.

No, I cannot buy one here in the People's Republik of Kalifornistan. The interesting thing about the Bushmaster .308 is that it uses metric FN FAL magazines, which are dirt cheap. By contrast, the Armalite AR 10 series uses modified M 14 magazines, and the Knight's Industries SR 25 uses "original" configured AR 10 magazines. Go figure. None of the mags from these three will retrofit any of the others.

I refused to even post links to those photos to my news site but will now do so. After having read British and other European publications (along with their typical anti-US, neo-NAZI conspiracy stories) and communicated with the more conservative British political folks for a few years, it's time to show 'em what we're made of.

Our children will necessarily grow up to be honest, unselfish and moral but very warlike. The War on Terror will go on for generations. European media are essentially whipping their populace into eventual war against the USA and its real allies.

Let's give them a US warrior generation that will utterly destroy socialism (really fascism in the end, as China is fascist now) and empire, once and for all.

And no, I don't want to listen any more to Euros. Those loudmouths have done all of the talking, both behind our backs to other nations (fomenting anti-US lies and hatreds) and in wordy, slippery canards to those of us who bothered to listen to them over the past few years.

To heck with 'em. They're cowards who are trying to give the Wahabbists a free way to exterminate the Jews to save their own stinking Euro-pagan skins from any discomfort, and I, for one, won't put up with it anymore.

I'll link to the photos from a very conservative, Judeo-Christian site.

Some feminists say the same of the Baptists. Even in the West women were denied the vote until just about 100 years ago. There are Muslims who do not oppress women and those in the west who do. We better appeal to the better elements of Islamic society, those who wish modernization, or be prepared to "liquidate" 1.1 BILLION people.

Why don't we hear from the good Muslims? Because as things now stand, good Muslims who speak out will end up like poor Paul Johnson.

Remember Prime Minister Bhutto of Pakistan? She is a woman. She was elected by the people of Pakistan. She has since been removed from power, but doesn't the fact that a woman was relatively recently elected to lead one of the largest Islamic nations indicate that there must be a substantial proportion of the Pakistani electorate that wants modernization (or is at least willing to tolerate it)? Should we try to make them allies or force them to be enemies?

This issue is what the War in Iraq was (is?) all about. If the Islamic radicals do not defeat this "experiment in democracy and modernization" right in their very midst, they run the danger of the greater part of the Arab population deciding they prefer freedom, modernity, and civil rights. That would be ultimate defeat for them and ultimate victory for Bush, the US, and freedom.

If they understood strength there would have been peace in Israel long ago. I don't know what the key is for convincing the Islamic World of the moral bankruptcy of Osama, Arafat, Saddam, the Iranian Mullahs, etc.. If I did I would be on the phone to the White House instead of having debates on Free Republic. I do know that we cannot exterminate 1.1 billion people. The only way to win is to turn enough Muslims toward democracy and modernity so that they will take over and win the fight against terrorism.

Bush has presented us a plan and put it in operation. He wants to try to set up Iraq as a democracy with respect for the rights of all and, ultimately prosperity for all. Success in this endeavor would give all Muslims a preferable alternative to living in squalor under leaders like Osama, Arafat, etc..

The only two alternatives I have heard are (1) Kill them all, and (2) pull out of the Middle East (I call that one the "Escape from New York" Scenario after the movie of the same name). I do not believe either of these alternatives is workable. Number one is cruel and UnAmerican (and also brings to mind a verse about "reaping the whirlwind"). The other one would lead to a thousand September 11ths. I, for one, will support Bush's plan, imperfect though it be, until someone comes up with a better alternative.

Any ideas?

This has the same weird characteristics to it that the Berg photos had. There's not enough blood, the face is at peace, there's clean margins, and in the photo holding up the head the background doesn't match the surrounding background. Then we have the orange jump suit again.

Something strange happening here, like they're drugging the victims into an OD, then doing surgery. I love to hear Dr. Baden's take on the photos.

FDR did embrace "Uncle Joe" Stalin. Care to argue the USSR under Stalin was in any way morally superior to the Japanese?

Morally superior?

Nope. But that's irrelevant. The point was, Russia didn't attack us, and did fight against our enemies.

"like they're drugging the victims into an OD, then doing surgery. I love to hear Dr. Baden's take on the photos."

I saw one photo on tv news of this recent victim with a towel or fabric already around his neck while he was still alive and talking. So I think these beheading victims are drugged and it is done in a more surgical manner to eliminate struggle, messy blood spill, slow down the heart rate. Remember arab men don't like to work, clean up their messes. There was plenty of blood on the victims body. Lets not get ridiculous with over analyzing a beheading for cryin out loud. The man is dead, he died an innocent man at the hands of inbred misogynys barbarians, PERIOD.

The mainscream media doesn't want to OFFEND ANYONE by showing these pictures. But it's okay to show the prisoner abuse photos again and again and again, shoving them down our throats. President Bush better be pissed!!!!!

There is an advantage to analyzing when it reveals a common modus.
