Morrissey, Sonic Youth, P.J. Harvey and the Flaming Lips HA! This is their "exciting lineup"?
When I went to Lollapalooza in 1993, it was Rage Against the Machine, Primus, Arrested Development, Fishbone, Tool, and Alice in Chains.

That was an awesome lineup. However, I would pay to see Flaming Lips.

It was good back then, no?
It has gone downhill, rapidly picking up speed, in the last 5-6 years.

When I saw this thread, that's what I thought "It's still around?". Have to admit I went twice. Those years were a little hazy, but the only bands worth mention were:
1994
Smashing Pumpkins
Beastie Boys
George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars
1995
Cypress Hill
Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Sonic Youth closed out the 1995 show, and from what I remember, they had a pretty good stage show.

HA! This is their "exciting lineup"? That's a roster of some of the most whiny, annoying performers in music today.

When I went to Lollapalooza in 1993, it was Rage Against the Machine, Primus, Arrested Development, Fishbone, Tool, and Alice in Chains. So it was incredibly lame and ridiculous even way back in 1993? How did it manage to stagger into 1994?

Lollapalooza in 1993I went to that one, in Raleigh, N.C.
I remember some of it, most notably Alice in Chains.
