I don't get the Arnold one where he is holding up Kerry. I miss the point in it. Why is this on funny? -OR- What is the political point?
I don't get the Arnold one where he is holding up Kerry. Some others here have said that the Arnold/Kerry image was "off message."I miss the point in it. Why is this on funny?
-OR- What is the political point?
And, there are a large number of conservatives who dislike Arnold's positions on just about EVERYTHING...See, for example the slugfest going on in THIS thread:
And, I suppose that if you have to explain a joke, it is mot realy very funny...

..but I thought that this "tough guy" Arnold vs. "wimp" Kerry would fit in with the broader "Kerry is unfit to be Commander in Chief at a time of war because he is not MANLY enough" message.Politically, my intention was to encourage the Governor to become aggressively engaged in this fall's election -- NOW.
One of the reasons that many Californians voted for Schwarzenegger was his potential to help President Bush get re-elected......by helping to "put California in play" - and force the RATs ot invest precious time and money in THIS state, which has previously been considered to be "safe."
Whatever your opinion of Arnold's conservative credentials, his "star power" is undeniable, particularly in "down ticket" races.Since this Streisand fundraiser was a "Hollywood" event, I thought it would be the PERFECT place to promote our CURRENT "former actor, now Governor," particularly after the recent death of our extraordinarly efffective, and well-loved OTHER "former actor, now Governer" -- President Reagan.
