Well, the only part I disagree with is #1. I don't think they've had enough screens available to meet demand so I expect the overall box office will hold up reasonably well for next week. The per-screen figure should drop precipitously though especially since they're at least doubling the number of screens.
hehe That's a good one!
Give a big old hello to michael moore the next time you see him.
Just some advice, keep your food close and don't look away for a nanosecond.
I'm not surprised by this at all. Gore won the popular vote that's relevant and not insignificant. If the majority bought Gore's act, it's no suprise a huge number of people are going to buy this guy's act too. He'll succeed only if he can tip the fence sitters. Whether the movie is capable of doing that is what needs to be determined, in terms of a possible election day influence.
And I'm glad to see this released now and it will be dead and gone in a few weeks or less.
Good advise.
Uh of course you left out the fact of what a politically charged this movie is.
But what the hey someone has to carry moore's water on FR, might as well be you.
It makes no difference how many people line up to see this trash. They love Moore, and hate America and President Bush. They are willing to believe the worst than believe that President Bush has kept us safe from another attack here at home. If Kerry wins because "undecideds" and the Bush haters were swayed by the tripe in Moore's film, then they deserve all the misfortune that will befall them as a result. Unfortunately the rest of us will be suffering too.
Like your tagline. My Ken doll came with his trunks and left with his trunks. I never bought him anything, he went to the Prom in his trunks while Barbie looked beeeeuuuutiful! Poor trunk-bound Ken. He was cute, though.
Well, I don't disagree with that either. By and large I think Fahrenheit 9/11 is preaching to the choir and never meant to imply otherwise if that's how it came across. I simply think the film will do well because the 35-40% of America that's providing the vast majority of the viewers is still a pretty huge audience to draw from.
BTW, why did you go?
FWIW-
But you are more than willing to take the bait at your local leather bar, IMO.
And before you get all indignant, I am not the one who typed in your screen name on FR.
LOL!! You must be kidding.............
Does this really mean each of the 868 theaters had 10,000 paid attendees to this movie, last night..SUUURRRRE. They must have needed to hire crowd control
Nah you have already done your review for everybody to read, with your own free willed screen name and your support for michael moore on this thread.
Ya know, the DUers (all three of 'em) and other loser lefties are probably posting, "Look at the Freepers eat their own over Moore's film!"
We must look at the true enemy and target them, not each other.
Besides, after November, we'll have the last laugh
I hope it racks up huge numbers. Every dollar that every lib spends on this movie is one less they can give to kerry and helps expose the loony notions that moore espouses. And you "conservatives" who insist on seeing this movie should at least buy a ticket to another movie and sneak in to see Fahrenheit 7-11 (as Mark Levin called it).
