Every buck spent on this cartoon, and on The Bent One's bound booty-wipe is a dollar that's NOT going to a Rat political campaign contribution fund. I'm hoping that at the US Congressional, and lower levels, Rat candidates get defeated across the board, and when it happens, lack of money will probably be a factor.

I wish you were right but Kerry and their 527s have broken every record in fundraising. They really hate W

You will notice Mel Gibson's Passion Of The Christ made over 3 times just on the first day of the movie

The only part I disagree with is that Titanic will be beaten. I don't think Titanic will be beaten any time soon. Titanic was #1 for 15 straight weeks! That included 10 straight $20 million dollar weekends.

By comparison, the first Spider-Man was #1 for 2 weeks and had four $20+ million dollar weekends. Even if Spider-Man 2 surpasses the first one's marks, it won't match Titanic's dominance, not in the loaded Summer movie season. That said, it'll be HUGE, probably the highest grossing film of the year (Shrek 2 made a ton though). I'd be stunned if it didn't surpass $400 million.

Yes, but inflation will have records broken in every election. In the end, the money raised by Kerry will be just stuffed down a rathole. The hate that Bush inspires in our enemies will blind them to funding the lower level Rats that would really frustrate the President's second term.

Did anyone see this big slob on LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIAN LAST NIGHT? My husband made me watch it, I'm sorry. Anyway, He is SO backtracking. He kept saying it's just HIS opinion! LOL! Conan was very good. I got the impression he didn't agree with the movie, but did what a host does. He started the conversation by asking Moore about the part in the beginning where he shows members of the Administration getting ready to be interviewed on TV and they are having make-up applied. Conan asked him basically, "so what? That's what everyone does." (Everyone except those who need it most, like Moore). Then Moore told how Wolfowitz spit on his comb to straighten his hair (ooh, what a scandal). Conan said, "That just made me like him more!" At the end Conan said, Like the movie or not, people are discussing the issues of the world and that's a good thing. And I'm beginning to agree.

I think we're all overreacting to this piece of video trash.

We all know there's a huge element in our population that hates Bush. We also know that element is generally pretty stupid and easily herded. So, Moore's herding them for fun and profit. Obviously, Moore's a liar, but he's also big money capitalist who knows the perfect bells to chime to trigger ticket-buying salivation levels in his Pavlovian followers.

Just sit back and enjoy it. Moore's 15 minutes of fame will soon be up. Meanwhile, fools and their money are being parted.

Remember all those statements Moore made overseas about how stupid the American people are? Well, he was talking about his own followers. Moore's made it clear he won't appear on any TV show or in any forum in which he might be questioned about the honesty of his books or films. By definition, he doesn't associate with anyone who disagrees with him, so he spends all his time surrounded by sycophants. And can you imagine a more pathetic human being than a Michael Moore sycophant? No wonder he thinks the American people are stupid.

The people seeing this film are the same ones who read their horoscope every morning, who sit and watch MTV's "The Real World" and praise it for its "authenticity", and who vote Democrat because Oprah & Rikki & Geraldo tell them to. These are the people who get that "deer caught in the headlights" look on their face if you ask them why, if Bush is allied with Osama, we had to overthrow Osama's protection racket regime in Afghanistan to supposedly build that Bush/Cheney pipeline there? For that matter, they get the same look if you ask them to find Iraq on a map.

So don't fret it. This fraudumentary will do pretty strong box office for a week or so, preaching to the choir, or make that pandering to the herd. But next week is the 4th of July, and can you imagine wanting to see a piece of America-bashing crap like this on such a holiday?

Yes, it's irritating to see Moore hypocritically getting rich by telling lies, smearing people who are his moral & intellectual superiors, trashing the very people who gave their lives so that he can have the freedoms he now abuses, and generally behaving like a cowardly bully. But take solace in the fact that he's fleecing his own followers and laughing at them behind their backs.

Believe me, this film isn't the left's version of "The Passion of the Christ". That film, in addition to being a masterpiece, sought to uplift the spirit of people who often find themselves the subject of ridicule in the popular media, merely for not wallowing in the mindless nihilism of "liberal" culture. Moore's film is an effort to break the spirit of his audience, to fill them with hate & rage, and to blind them to the very real threats that prowl a dangerous world.

The best way to deal with this two-bit, cowardly, lying slob is to not try to censor his piece of crap film. Just quietly go about your business and in a few days, Moore's sheep will be fleeced and we can go back to seeing more realistic films, such as Spiderman 2 or Dodgeball. Quietly handing out fliers and other materials outside of theaters is fine. A lot of Moore's followers are young people dumbed-down by "publik skools" and MTV. Many of them have a brain, but have never been encouraged to use it. Hand them a flier exposing Moore's lies, and maybe you'll plant a seed!

A book and a movie exposing Moore will soon be released. Enjoy them, and bask in the knowledge that Moore has to look at a pathological liar every time he looks in the mirror. And that's a regime that will never change.

And since I haven't seen a thread dedicated to revealing the lies in the movie poster, let me provide this:

"This Film Is Not Yet Rated" - BS, it was and is rated R. The R rating was on appeal (not overturned) but it WAS rated. The studio just didn't like the rating they got.

President Bush never shook hands with the man in the black shirt.

The man in the black shirt is not Michael Moore, although his head has been pasted onto this thinner body.

Michael Moore has asserted that he had final edit of this film up to the US screening date. He made it quite clear that he was probably going to change some things after the Cannes screening (I do not know if there were any alterations). If he did alter the film, then this is NOT the film that was awarded the top prize at Cannes. The Oscar committee does make this distinction (you can't modify the film after its qualifying LA run).

We can also look at the left's assertion that efforts to block the advertising of this film as the election nears using FEC law is "censorship". On this I agree, but it is another convenient lie because Campaign Finance Reform ITSELF is government censorship that abridges the right to free speech. What better battering ram to use to toss out the unconstitutional law than Michael Moore?

Does Boxoffice have the opening weekend take for these films noted?

They would be good films to compare box office draw with. They all serve the same end, selling hate to a readily accepting audience.

I'm totally convinced a movie -- whose entire 90 minute plot involves the constant flushing of turds down the john -- could win the Big Award in Cannes, and thus become a "top grossing" film.
