In what way are illegal drugs so related to violent crime, since the users of addictive drugs are about 8% of the population? And many of them don't get violent because they can afford them?

But we're talking about cannabis. What violent crimes are motivated by cannabis? And where in the book from which we draw our law and morals is using cannabis forbidden?
