It's Gephardt

Just got some scuttlebutt, top Gephardt aide Joyce Aboussie has been sent a private plane to join Dick Gephardt for....one can only assume the announcement that Dick Gephardt will be the next Vice President Nominee for the Democratic Party.

UPDATE: If Aboussie is being flown out and ordering staff to be ready for a change, it's hard to imagine that it is anything, but gearing up for an announcement that he is the VP nominee. He and Aboussie are incredibly close and she is his right hand. Unless this is a bit of disinformation, this is the real deal.

Judging by the URL, the banner looks like something that appeared on Kerry's blog. I assume it's just some Gephardt partisan's effort to envision what a Kerry-Gephardt banner would look like.

Wesley Clark.

(Al Gore could have been had he not come across as a complete and utter loon).

I also saw ABC report that they had credible information that it might be Edwards. But then, I guess everyone says that. Given the equation that you cant' win the South without a Southerner, Edwards makes sense. What I wonder is whether or not the Clintons will end up being even more aggressive than the right in preventing these guys from winning. If they should win, Hillary can't run until 2012, if even then. No one can tell me that this hasn't occurred to both of them. That's why I wonder if Howard Dean got hosed on being the candidate for Dems, because he might have won. As a conservative I found myself scratching my head when I saw well-known liberals acting like Dean was the Mad Hatter for getting a little carried away when he did the whooping and hollering. That really raise him to the level of political hot potato? Sure, he was goofy, but if Gore had done that in 2000 the same liberas would have been saying he just "let his hair down." I think Terry MacAuliffe is lurking somewhere behind all that.

It has to be Wesley Clark, IMHO.

Why-because Kerry made serving in Vietnam the only criterion for being POTUS.
Well, that and windsurfing, wearing yellow bike shorts and speaking French.
The Dem platform is emphasizing national security and I can't see Babyface ( does he even shave , yet ?) or Gephardt shoring up that area.
Especially since Gephardt served in a MO ANG unit during Vietnam.
And not as a pilot.
We know that Kerry views that type of service as being the same as running to Canada.
After the crap the Kerry campaign dumped on President Bush about his ANG service, it would seem ludicrous to pick a VP with an ANG background.
Not that I expect the msm to notice the hypocrisy.
With the emphasis on the war in Iraq, national security and " having worn the uniform, " that would seem to leave out Edwards, Vilsack, Clinton and the rest of the pack.
Unless Kerry has managed to talk Chuck Hagel into the spot-and I still don't rule that out, as he is a RINO, Vietnam vet and anti Bush-logically, it has to be Clark.
Generals Zinni and Shinseki, while bringing the same background to the table as Clark, would make a pronunciation nightmare.
Clark is from the south, military and with no voting record to scrutinize .
His negatives will be ignored by the media and dismissed by the campaign.
And the left will be orgasmic about their military team.

It is Hillary. Thats why the Bush campaign expects a 15 point bounce for Kerry.

Damn.

permutations also count orderings.

Biology and math intersect. :) So many dots to connect, and so little time.

Freepers seem to have this psychological need for the alleged wicked witch to haunt them, not only in their waking hours, but in their sleep. Perhaps a mass therapy session is in order. Perhaps Lazamataz could be the group therapist.

"Perhaps Clinton's Hollywood buddies the Thomasons have adapted the script from one of those campy 70's mystery/comedy movies. All the VP candidates are flown into a central location for the announcement,..."

Dear Mr. Squat:

I do believe you're on to something. But, may I offer a small improvement? Yes, they have borrowed a script, but it is one from that 'reality show' "Joe, the Bachelor" (or whatever, never watched it).

All the potential VP candidates will go to Teressa's farm and every few days JFK will kick another one 'off the farm'. We won't get to see the details off course, but we can stay glued to our TVs to see which candidate is being driven off in a horse drawn carraige (or hearse).

Hillary is Sauron. Or Voldemort. The fact that she is in the background makes her even more frightening.

Come to think of it, how bout Terry McAuliffe or Dick Mullholland of California as VP? They both are used to going on the attack, and love doing it.

Bob Mulholland wouldn't bring gravitas to the ticket, but he would remind voter of...

"He'll be announcing "The Candidate", a new reality show which selects Kerry's vice presidential running mate. Who will hold the final rose?"

Sorry, looks like I stole your idea.
