It is curiously interesting that she got just barely by a nose the number (50.7%) needed to avoid a run-off.

Ugh!

Perhaps.

This entire conversation would be immaterial if the nitwits on the Supreme Court-and the venal characters that seem to thrive in the halls of our U.S. Congress, people who are only interested in their next reelection race-hadn't tampered with the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

The racial/political gerrymandering that determines the lines of our congressional districts is simply outrageous.

It's good to have the commie b*tch in Congress, as a living example of the Left's malicious ignorance.

The Islamo-fascists win one...

I'm sure CAIR popped some corks last night.

Best we can do now is make her one more poster child for the whacked-out RAT Party.

The face of the Democrat Party is certainly an ugly one.

"The racial/political gerrymandering that determines the lines of our congressional districts is simply outrageous."

While that is true in most cases, McKinney's current district is pretty much what one would expect. Do you think that the black communities in South DeKalb should be pareceled out among several districts? If not, it would be difficult to draw a district that wouldn't have similar demographics and partisan breakdowns as the current 4th CD; you could add territory north, south, east or west of South DeKalb, and you'd still have a black-majority, overwhelmingly Democrat district.

What is outrageous, though, is that an overwhelming majority of black Democrats in suburban DeKalb County would vote for an anti-Semitic, unpatriotic demagogue like McKinney. Sure, she didn't face as strong a challenger as Majette, with her two main rivals being white women, one of whom was a lesbian from Fulton County, but one would have thought that McKinney would have still be held under 50%. Bill Cosby needs to have a chat with residents of South DeKalb.

Think about it this way:

McKinney is SO far out there, she'll be useful as a tool for embarrassing the Dims.

She apparently learned at her daddy's knee to ALWAYS speak before thinking.
She'll say stuff you couldn't dream up in a thousand years...

Ok, I'm confused. Is Georgia on a different calendar than the rest of the country? I thought that the federal elections weren't until November . . . . or did I oversleep?

Let me tell you - this is why we have to get out the vote.

1) Cynthia McKinney back to Congress
2) Johnny Isakson over Herman Cain without a runoff.

Part of this is because of low voter turnout. If we don't energize our base then don't be surprised to see President Elect Kerry on November 3.

VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!

>Part of this is because of low voter turnout.<

Not true the voter turnout was above average.Isakson benefitted the higher the turnout went.If their had not been a hot Senate race Republicans in Dekalb and Gwinnett would have crossed over.It did not make a difference last time but it would have mattered this time.
