Actually - that is very interesting.
Have seen the sign for years on the road to Vegas and wondered about it.
Can't ever talk Mrs. Lurkin into diverting to Zzyzx, Pahrump, Searchlight or even Calico ghost town.
But then, I don't try too hard either.
I've driven over to Vegas from LA twice in the past 6 months, and the sign is definitely there. In fact, it's a "major" (if anything along that stretch of the 15 can be so termed) off ramp on the 15. The off ramp doesn't look like it has any reason for being there. I have always wondered what all those trees were doing out there in the middle of nothing.
