The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

NEW YORK - Police searched trucks, blocked streets and posted machine-gun toting officers outside financial landmarks Monday, a day after the government's chilling warning that terrorists might target the buildings with bombs.

I've wondered since Sunday, if DHS knows a date or dates for the attacks.

Sorry for the off-topic post, but I couldn't find a good place to post this, and it's just too cute:

Two Iraqi girls from Al Kush, Iraq, a village approximately 50 km from Mosul, look at the new beanie babies they received from Soldiers with the 416th Civil Affairs Battalion, an Army Reserve unit from Norristown, Pa. The Soldiers were in Al Kush working with local children to teach them the game of baseball. Courthouse Closed Temporarily Over Mystery Illnesses
State Health Department Investigating Complaints

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- Morgan County's courthouse could be closed until Wednesday as health officials investigate reports of a mysterious illness that affected at least six workers there.

The building was closed Monday after a few people, including Circuit Court Judge Matthew Hanson, became ill last week. Five people went to a hospital complaining of breathing difficulties, Hanson told RTV6's Ben Morriston.

The courthouse was closed out of concern that something in the building might be contributing to the illnesses.

"We're now tasting a metallic taste in various parts of the courthouse, and that's a little disturbing," Superior Court Judge G. Thomas Gray said.

County health officials inspected the building Monday, but found no clues.

"I'm kind of at a loss," the department's Donna Chastain said. "The only thing that we can think of is that it might be something in the ductwork."(snip)

Thanks GL2. I did some google searches on the numbers strings, "The Sharp Camp", etc. Did not come up with anything. I don't know what to make of it but I do know it leaves me with an uncomfortable feeling in my gut.

The title of this AQ training manual is more accurately translated as "the severing", "amputating", "razor-sharp sword". When fed to a machine translator it comes out as "The Sharp Camp". If the Jihadists were using a simple number/letter substitution code in their communications then they are screwed. A typical desktop computer these days could crack it in a matter of hours. If they now have to rely exclusively on couriers we might be seeing some high profile captures soon if the right kind of people are under surveillance.

nw, that is excellent!!! I was going to put together another daily "headline" list, but I don't think it's necessary with the information you have. It looks like you caught most of the important information. Very nice!

You know what I hate about that Drudge teaser and what some others are saying about it on other boards? Even if alot of the info is old, it does not detract from its relevance one iota since al qaeda preps years in advance for a variety of hits (some of which they go through with while others are deepsixed). The fact that some info is old is actually more telling and sober in the eyes of the intel community -- and us TMers. 911 was the result of years of planning and the next major hit will follow suit.

I know that it is the GWB bashers in the media and on the other boards that are dissing the threat as usual. Drudge seems to prefer kerry, I wonder why? His freewheeling stance on what was once traditional marriage?

I expressed my doubts about this alert yesterday. There's definitely more to this than threats to a few buildings.

"Swallowing explosives" -- I just can't get over this article! I can see them secreting explosive parts in their privates, but not swallowing them! And liquid explosives? That is true dedication to the job, I would say.

What's really disturbing to me is that we can't even agree among ourselves on FR that the threat is real and (has the potential of being) imminent. We have people on every thread yelling "it that's true, then why haven't they struck yet?" - no matter what we post, whether it be suitcase nukes, terrorists crossing the Mexican border, raising the threat level, etc.

So if Freepers are chanting "there's nothing to worry about" - how do we expect the 90% of the country who has their heads in the sand to wake up?

It took years to plan 9-11. This surveillance data is either old or it's not, but either way it isn't irrelevant simply because of the date the info was aquired.

But it DOES prove that the "why haven't they struck yet?" mantra is rediculously false logic. They will strike when they are ready, and not before. It may be tomorrow, it may be years from now. But the fact they haven't struck yet doesn't mean they can't, or that they won't, or that they don't have every intention of doing so - and inflicting as many casualties as possible (in lives, money, infrastructure, commerce, psyche, morale, etc.).

They are not really surprised. They are more likely uncomfortable that things have reached the level where they had to come clean with the public. They know the casing has been going on; and they have speculated before about what sites were being surveyed before 911. What is different this time is that they have enough info to have been forced to admit it publically. They also have more info than they are saying.

I agree with you.

I'm just saying that there is more to this threat than just buildings.

The Feds are telling us half the story.

It's the other half that worries me.

Trust me, I know what I'm saying.

I work for them.

• Attacks against aviation facilities and infrastructure (airport and air traffic services).
• Use of cyber or other electronic attacks.....

Such as the computer systems failures yesterday here in the US for American Airlines and US Air... affected over 300 flights.

Just when I think I'm caught up, a new thread.

JustPiper, Thank you, welcome back (missed you), Happy Birthday.

JerseyGirl, Praying for fast healing. I never wear heels.

Pegita, Amen and Amen.

WestCoastGal, Congratulations!! Tomorrow I celebrate 36 years with my hubby.

Pauldingbabe, Happy Birthday.

Thought it would be easier to post once. Thank you all for all your hard work. I had a computer built to make my children green with envy. Ha Ha Until I move off this mountain or SBC dicides to upgrade the phone lines (no cable), 28.8Kbps is the best I can get. Slow. So now you know how GRATEFUL I am to ALL of you. God Bless

What doesn't sit right? What is getting me is that this seems so much more serious. The shows of force are unnerving. They want to stop this,,makes me think they aren't going to catch them.

It's always the part I don't know about that worries me.

I figure I'm only 1/10th as smart and only 1/100th as informed as our security personnel are... and if I know what I know... I hate to think about what they know!

All true and valid, BagCamAddict. Well said. When I see the naysaying on FR -- not here on TM, of course -- I like to think that it is from folks who are staunch Libertarians. They hate the watered-down Patriot Act, AG John Ashcroft, etc., and nearly every action taken to protect the homeland. No matter what the merit or need, they do not think government should play too much of a role. At least, that is the only way I can even approach an understanding of their mindset.

Or, if they are not Libertarians, perhaps they naysay because it is how they can best handle their stress?

As for the general public, well, we know that they are lost in the sauce. Unfortunately.

I will tell you guys that my supervisors at JFK are on edge over this threat.

They receive the breifings from the big boys.

Us grunts are on a need to know basis.

They have told us for quite some time know to "Be Ready For Anything".

I wonder what they know???
