In the promo, O'Reilly had that disapproving look on his face. Anyone want to bet he's against it.
I've heard that he was not happy about it on his radio show.
I agree; the news segment on this story was extremely biased towards Kerry; the round table was a little more balanced. The vets deserve an airing and Fox should provide them one, including Brit's show. I was a little disappointed in Brit's show on this tonight....and am hoping that since their COO endorsed Kerry, this won't impact their reporting. Time will tell.
I agree. Everybody here's foaming at the mouth over this ad, and I just think it's a huge mistake.
Look for Bush to completely disavow within the next couple of days.
Barnes wasn't all that negative...I didn't think he was negative at all.
The ad may make people feel sympathy for Kerry.
But people don't vote for a president out of sympathy.
"Oh, that poor man. I'll put him in charge of my family's protection"? Don't think so.
It's a very sad day in America when the "Emperor's New Clothes" rules the day.
If speaking an ugly truth about a prospective president and COMMANDER IN CHIEF is considered a negative to a sitting president, we might as well just lie down and let the libs have everything they want. IOW, if we fight, we lose. So why bother?
O'Reilly saying it is "VICIOUS"....is it MORAL? he adds
FlimFlam at 1900 O'Reilly Street...
Let's ROLL PEOPLE! EAGLES UP!
Kerry said "BRING IT ON"...now we are doing so...
G
Seems like they really went out of their way to disavow the ad. Forgive my faulty memory but have they also disavowed the 527 ads against Bush?
Kerry just got the nomination. They couldn't go running ads against him until then (unless they wanted to waste their money on one of the seven dwarves in the primary).
Now he is poised to be President. He never was in that position before now. This is why "30 years later" they speak up.
Vietnam was buried in the past until Kerry came on the scene and told everyone he was a war hero.
Good question. The fact is, this group got together on their own volition, motivated by one thing they all agree on: John Kerry is UNFIT to be commander in chief.
They have every right to speak out, especially since Kerry and his supporters have chosen to harp on Kerry's service and frankly, misrepresent it. Yet, as you point out, we're supposed to let these tales be told by Kerry and his camp and silence anyone who speaks out lest they harm our side's campaign.
No. I don't think so.
Barnes was the only one who wanted to get to the bottom of it.
Hume and group ... I was disappointed in what they had to say!
You are correct BARNES wanted the PRESS TO INVESTIGATE and get to the bottom of the charges. Fat chance of that! However the consensus (2 of the 3) all-stars agreed the ads are a BIG NEGATIVE for BUSH. Their words not mine.
HEY ....SCREW EM ALL!!!!...IF WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY IS TRUE , WHO GIVES A S#^# WHAT ANY MEDIA TYPES FEELS ABOUT IT , EITHER FROM FOX OR ANY OTHER MEDIA OUTLET ......LET THE TRUTH BE KNOWN !!!!!!!!!
Personally, I am totally impressed with the Swift Boat Veterans for organizing and taking the time and effort to put together an ad. That is the American way.
About to start...how can it not be fair O'Reily?
Nor do I.
