Unification with Jordan, after securing a foothold state but prior to the final destruction of Israel has been a formal strategic objective of the PLO since 1973. I'm sure one of Yasser's greatest regrets is not taking the Camp David deal while he had time to turn his attention eastward.

Actually, the purpose of partitioning Jordan from Transjordan in 1922 was to create a Palestineian Homeland. The Palestinians were almost immediately double-crossed when the Hashemites fleeing from Arabia and the usurping House of Saud were granted sovereignty over Jordan. The Hashemites are the occupiers of Palestine, not the Israelis.

And Arafat, btw, is an Egyptian.
