Wisconsin LP candidate fights back against Repub attacks

The GOP knows that some Wisconsin voters are willing to vote Libertarian. Does that justify using Democrat-style tactics?

You'll figure it out eventually...

So basically you do not agree with anything I have listen that Loserdopians stand for save the right for cakeboys to ride one another [and of course you wanna get high]. If you do not even agree with the platform of the Loserdopian party how is it that you're a member of the party?

1700s style property rights, Nancy boys get to play with each other and Marijuana. These are the passionate convictions that motivate you to stand against tyranny?

Well them are some great founding principles.
Yeah, we so need more "Patriots" like you.

Not 1700's style, but property rights. Your town does NOT have the right to your house and land if Wally World wants to build another Stupid Center there. If a highway needs to be built, and your land is in the way, that's another story.

"Nancy boys get to play with each other"? I take it you want to make certain kinds of sex illegal again?

I said, I don't get high anymore. Want a urine sample? I'll mail you one.

And it's spelled "libertarian". You know... root word, liberty. That's because *I* believe in liberty. Too bad you don't.

How do you know Tim Johnson wouldn't make a good senator?
Not that Thune isn't, but we do live in a country that doesn't practice political monopoly - even though they try.

And quite frankly, I don't see how I'm assisting liberals, detachedly or otherwise. Liberals I've met can't stand us, because we're non-PC, want the IRS removed, and we're for gun rights. Not exactly liberal-friendly.

[Shoulder shrug] I'll ammend...

You can amend it all you want, it's still a fluffy bit of nothing. I've seen liberals write better stuff than this.

So, how long have you been a control freak? Do you pace the floors, wringing your hands and lamenting that someone, somewhere, might be having a better time than you are? And, by God and the power of government, you'll do something about it?

Is it not enough to be for laws against murder, rape, arson, child abuse, fraud, theft, and all the really serious crimes humans can commit against one another? How many tentacles do you want the state to have?

"So, how long have you been a control freak?"

Oh so I am a control freak now.

Not making the connection between eminent domain laws and totalitarianism, not having a tolerance for Men wanting to stick their penis in another Man's anus and of course having no real appreciation for smoking dope...

...this all makes "Me" a control freak.

Defaulting to Democrat debating tactics speaks volumes for where you as a person really stand in the grand scheme of things.

You're no Conservative...and from the looks of it, no Libertarian. You're simply an adolescent contrarian who does not like authority. Like I said in my opening post, beat it scrub.

Adolescent? Not for about twenty years, bub.

If you're not a control freak, then how do you explain your desire to CONTROL what people do sexually? Personally, I'd rather not hear about it, but I don't think it needs to be made illegal. If you want government to ride herd on consenting adults in their bedrooms, that DOES make you a control freak. Try looking at it objectively, not through the lens of "I don't like it, therefore it should be banned".

And YOU started this, with liberal tactics like childlike misspellings and veiled accusations of loyalty to my country.

And for the record, I have NEVER said I don't like authority. I just don't think we need huge, steaming piles of it. Obviously, you do.

I would like to know why the hell you threw down first, though. Thought I had a thin skin... you've got me beat there.

So, no, I'm not leaving. Don't like it, don't read it. Or write your congressman and have me made illegal. That's what statists like to do... solve problems with government.

Your body may have grown but your comprehension has apparently remained at 17. Prolly all that weed.

News Flash--Thune isn't. Johnson is (thanks entirely to Libertarian votes). Nice to see my Libertarian friends are so plugged-in to political reality. Sheesh.

If you want me to "beat it", why have you spent the last several posts trying to figure out what I am, especially if you had your mind made up in the first place?

If you're not a control freak, then maybe "rabid authoritarian goon" might be more descriptive. If you have a beef against gays, liberals would say you should be muzzled; I won't. You have the right to demean them all you want. But if you want an authority figure to have the added burden of policing what gays do to each other, just because you don't like them, then I don't know what to tell you. I'd rather see those resources go into cracking down on child porn, wife beating, and other tangible, harmful crimes.

Let's say you're a cop. You have the ability to stop one of the following activities: Two adults having unauthorized copulations, or a child being abused. Ready... go.

Or between these two: You can stop a bank robbery, or hand out a ticket for illegal parking. Hint: One of these crimes is more important than the other.

Have fun, and have a government-approved day!

Hmm, let's see, Republicans are also generally hostile to P.C., the Speaker of the House is trying to abolish the IRS, and the GOP is the enemy of gun control (we even killed the vaunted Clinton Assault Ban). So please remind me again just why aren't you voting Republican?

With all that we have in common, why not support our 50% of the vote instead of your 1-3%--and DEFEAT the Liberals???

Well, I don't keep up with every state, guy. I do know that Kerry's opponent in the last senate race wasn't a Republican, because your party didn't field a candidate there. The LP candidate did, however, and got 19% of the votes against Kerry. Not bad considering how damn liberal it is up there in Taxachussetts.

I comprehend enough to know that government is the LAST place to turn to for life's problems. SOME people should learn that lesson.

But then, statists loooove to dump it in some elected morons' lap instead of trying to fix it with local government or, God forbid, the private sector.

I AM voting Republican... in the general election, Bush gets my vote. MAYBE one or two others. That's it.

Liberaltarian, eh?

Boy, that's good. Must have taken all your energy to come up with that one.

Hastert mouthed the words, but the GOP won't do squat about abolishing the IRS. Hell, they can't even cut funding for subsidized "art", much less ANY non-military spending entitlement. They're afraid they'll lose votes... from people who won't vote for them in the first place.

Unfortunately, the GOP is adopting far too much from the Democrat Party's playbook.

Yeah, isn't that clever? With all these liberals to bash, it would seem more productive to stick it to them instead.

How anyone can work the word "liberal" into libertarian, is beyond me. I think liberals write this stuff for them.

Are the Wisconsin Democrats using Democrat style tactics too? If not, what kind of tactics are the Dems using-Liberterian tactics?

The only thing more liberal than a liberal Democrat, is a conservative Liberterian.
