Humor is only as good as its inspiration.

Since the Keyes for Senate/Illinois gig has become reality, I've spoken with a number of MD and DC-metro area Republicans. Almost to a person, the basic reaction to the Illinois GOP choosing Keyes is: "What the H&LL are they thinking?!"

And, again, their collective astonishment has nothing to do with Keyes' politics, just with Keyes.
