I heard that segment but they brushed it off as "near" Cambodia. I think we should make sure Brit gets an email about the Washpost article from 2003 which is on Kerry's website showing the contradiction. I think they may let it die if they get the impression as Brit indicated today that the speech were he mentioned Cambodia was from 1986. It of course makes it even more relevant that Kerry was VERY RECENTLY making this false claim.
Brit should point this out.
Better grab a copy of that page before they take it down. They're taking a lot of stuff off the site.
The point is that Kerry wanted people who listened to his personal story, to believe thatKerry was in Cambodia. Whether he was there or not is irrelevant. What is relevant is an inquiry into whether or not he was making up a story to suit his personal ambition.
He quoted Kerry on the campaign trail a year ago telling a reporter about his top secret mission to Cambodia or something. I was in the car with kids so did not hear every word.
Rush ended the 2-minute segment in that mysterious way he has by saying softly, (paraphrasing) "So either Kerry anticipated getting caught in the lie and tried to pre-empt it, or else he really was in Cambodia."
Anyone know what Rush was reading from???????
