I have a feeeling Smoke could paint Victory Lane.. blleeaahhh.. ;-)
The announcer just said it could be awhile before Tony can come out and speaks to the media. and adds this line,, A gutsy preformance today winning..
Indeed it was.. ;-)
Stewart doesn't know Q-U-I-T. Ask the Grand American Road Racing Association at the Rolex 24 when he took a prototype with a broken suspension and tried feverishly for 40 minutes to nurse the car, only to crash it in the last 20 minutes of a 24-hour race. He also took advantage of the rain Friday by entering a GARRA sportscar event Friday evening and took track time, albeit in a faster sportscar, which was enough rhythm which had him racing an extra day.
So while the Cup drivers were moaning about a lost day, Smoke was in a sportscar on the same track, just pounding away lap after lap, and grabbing the extra advantage. Add that Danny Lasoski's Knoxville Nationals and it was for Tony a nice weekend.
