*******
Note on drafting from the master and Winston Cup Champ Earnhardt Sr......
Earnhardt can actually see the air when he is behind the wheel of his race car, which allows him to find the slipstream of air and utilize the draft. "Everybody else talks about me seeing the air," Earnhardt says. "I'm really not proposed to saying I can see the air, but I do understand the draft, and I do understand what the cars are doing in the air."
"I've heard some drivers saying, We're going too fast at Charlotte. We're going too fast at Daytona.' Get the hell home. If you're not a race car driver or a racer, stay home. Don't come here and grumble about going too fast."
More Crew Changes at the #8: Dale Earnhardt Inc. is still hoping to upgrade its over-the-wall crew on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #8 Budwesier Chevrolet. Greg Burkhart, currently the rear tire changer on the #10 Valvoine team, will join the #8 car at Bristol. Jay Guarneri holds the position, but DEI wants to see how Burkhart works with the team.(FoxSports/Sporting News)(8-16-2004)
