Big news about Jeff Burton today. My youngest daughter (age 9) is a big Jeff fan and doesn't know whether to be happy he has a regular sponsor now or bummed out that all her "99" gear is outdated. (We just got her a 99 flag *last week*!) A Rousch Racing exec was really charming to her when we went shopping at the CA Speedway on race day earlier this year and he spotted her in a 99 hat (not a lot of those around!) so she felt bad because of that, too. But at least he's got a definite "ride" all set now :).

Hey, that old color scheme can grow on ya. I've got 15 year old Earnhardt shirts and hats... I think they're classy. I've got Skol Bandit 33 Gant stuff, Ward's 22 Cat stuff... it's all good :o)

Jeff's going to do great with Childress.

GOPPrincess--I did some checking around in the "OFFISHAL" Nascar Fan Rule Book..Page 3,527 Section FF Row 86 Seat 1 states: "Any fan gear that becomes obsolete because a driver changes sponsor OR number is still valid. The FAN is now part of a special allocation for race driver supporters known as the 'VINTAGE MEMBER' by demonstrating they have LONG supported a driver, through thick and thin. The aformentioned fan gear is OFFISHALLY termed VINTAGE FAN GEAR and is now worth more than two worn teddy bears and a Cabbage Patch doll with a Tonka Truck chaser."

When Mark Martin shifted from Valvoline to Viagra, when DJ switched from Ford to UPS etc, this rule has been in effect and UNCHANGED for hundreds of thousands of laps!
