If this isn't enough to constipate a goose...
Power Line ^ | 8/17/04 | Ronald Kessler

The Story USA Today Wouldn't Run

This column by Ronald Kessler describes President Bush's longstanding commitment to education--above all, to successful strategies for teaching children to read. But Kessler's column cited a source who is a Bush supporter, and was therefore deemed per se unreliable by USA Today. The newspaper killed the column. Just another nail in the coffin of children, especially minority children, who are daily sacrificed to liberal shibboleths about education.

President Bush CAN NOT rely on the press for ANYTHING. He has to use ads to tout his record. He has to be his own press core (this applies to the WOT too). He should also go on the talk show circuit when the time is right .

That saying is courtesy of my Grandma Brooks, who died 25 years ago at age 94, so I guess it's in the public domain :o))

Power Line ROCKS! If you only pick one blog to read, pick Power Line. It's what I lived on before I found FR.

Click on the link and have a look. They also review the Walking Stick's ski "outfit."

"It appears that Kerry's carefully wrought public sports poses are calculated to prove his manhood! I guess I must have been thrown off by the daisy zipper pull..."

Very good links; dedicated, intelligent contributors.

"..constipate a goose..."?

I have 7 free range geese. I just wish there was something that would really constipate geese when they come into the yard. LOL

Worked for Reagan. Bush needs to hold way more press conferences, and he needs to develop strategies for hammering journalists the way Reagan did.

What Reagan knew is that America loves her president more than America loves her press. Journalists are just a rung above lawyers on the slimeball scale.

I'll have to find some of his other books. I seem to recall that he was a Sat.Eve. Post editor?

His "The People's Pottage" is the most electrifying book I've ever read. It turned my political philosophy around 180 degrees back in 1962.

What else of his would you recommend I look for?

There is a collection of his Post articles called Salvos against the New Deal. Also great is this book, which is an investment classic.

Of course, there's The People's Pottage, with the brilliant essay, "The Revolution Was".
