Are you familiar with the Legion Sarge? There is one very close to me but according to the web site my service time dates do not qualify me for membership.

Are there auxiliary memberships?

In your case, Radix, you might also look at the VFW as well. They've recently altered their membership to lnclude troops who served overseas during time blocks. Yours just might fit!

Not as such. There are ladies auxiliaries;

There's also the Sons of The American Legion. I'm qualified for both, but I was SAL before I enlisted. An active SAL chapter isn't much different than the legion. Requirements to join aren't as stringent as for legionaries.

Besides all the good reason to join above, there is one other: Hanoi Jane Fonda decals in the urinals. Whoever said "Coke is the pause that refreshes," never took a pi$$ at the local legion post!!!

i thought anyone who served in the military was elligible to join the legion, but you had to serve in a designated foreign war to be in the VFW
