Former NBC network news magazine anchor Jane Pauley reveals she's bipolar in her autobiography.
Jane Pauley
Pauley writes in "Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue," coming out Tuesday, that she takes lithium to control her mood swings.
She said the problem started in 2001 when she came down with a bad case of hives. She took steroids and had a rare reaction that set off the bipolar disorder.
Pauley said she spent nearly three weeks in the hospital under an assumed name.
Excerpts of "Skywriting" have been published in People magazine.
Pauley, 53, begins hosting her new syndicated talk show, "The Jane Pauley Show," later this month.

Jane Pauley is just another wealthy victim of American medicine. If she had taken safe and effective quercetin for her hives she would have avoided the steroid side effects.

Good question.
I'm beginning to believe that it is a requirement to be mentally unbalanced to be in the media business and the entertainment world.
