Mentos made a GREAT FIND! This needs to be spread around PING!

From Kerry's "The New Soldier":
Al Hubbard Sgt., 22 Troop Carrier Squadron Aug. ’65-June ’66

Emotions: Walking down the flight line at Saigon past stacks of aluminum cases containing American bodies and past stacks of aluminum luggage containing American currency. Seeing the tight, sad face of an Airman loading the bodies aboard a dirty Air Force Transport and the wide smiling face of a stewardess greeting the passengers aboard a clean Pan American Clipper Jet. Hearing a Vietnamese beg you to leave his country and an American colonel tells you to bomb his country. Hearing a Vietnamese invite you to live in his home, after the war and an American explain why you can’t live in his block, after the war. Flying over barren, brown, safe American held terrain and over lush, green unsafe enemy terrain. Feeling happy to be leaving a country in which you do not belong and sad to be returning to a country in which you are not allowed to belong. Sacrificing a portion of your consciousness so you won’t have to deal with being there and building mental blocks so you won’t have to deal with having been there.

- Al Hubbard, proven fraud who never set foot in Viet Nam. The only Vietnamese he ever met was when he was collaborating with the North Vietnamese in Paris on the American Communist Party's nickel.

John Kerry's explanation: "He (Hubbard) simply exaggarated his particular position. But nobody knew it at the time. And those things happen."

Hey now we can't be bothered by little details like that! Don't you know John Kerry was a HEro?

"Think the officers are required to do daily reports....expect them to come out in the future...."

Never served in the brown-water navy, but knowing the Navy as I do, I'm sure that the SWIFT boat skippers kept logs.

However, I would certainly hate to bet the farm on anybody having a copy of them now.

You could almost walk from boat to boat and not get your feet wet.

Smarmy little pricks like Chris Wallace are going to get chewed up in the screws--the swift boat veterans with the truth don't alter course.

I found this posted on another forum;

Even my brothers in SBVT don't know it yet, but Kerry (pituie) is in for an even bigger supprise before then. How is he going to disprove copies of the actual documents created during his time in Nam which proves what we have been saying. Radio logs, damage reports, spot reports, After action reports... the list goes on. Within the next three days I will be disclosing to the media the location of all the original documents, and how to contact the holder of those documents. Ever wonder where all those reports we wrote went when we left there. I don't. because I know.

I've cited examples from the Vietnam War-era, others have too. The most notorious without question was the Tet Offensive "reporting."

Such as reporters showing the same crashed C-130 at Kae Sanh from different angles (and give the impression it was several different aircraft) to “prove” we were losing the war.
Such as the reporters who described “scattered sniper action at Vinh Long” and “heavy fighting near the river in Saigon”. I was at Vinh Long - it was some very heavy intense fighting with a lot of damage. I later saw a few broken windows near the river in Saigon.
Such as the mob of reporters I later had to push through to get to the battalion aid station at Hue. They had clustered around the entrance to take pictures of wounded soldiers, sailors and Marines - the better to “prove” we were losing the war.
