I don't watch much TV but when I do, it's almost always a BBC or British production.
I loved "Foyle's War" (Series I and II). Michael Kitchen rocks.
I love the many historical series the BBC does; numerous ones are in conjunction with a PBS station in Boston (or BBC America?). I'm now watching (via library copy) the ever-busy face and head of Simon Schama as he does "A History of Britain" in eight parts. Very interesting.
And then there are the British productions for TV of English classic literature ... sigh. Makes me wish we could time travel.
Actually those shows got sold to Cable channel here in the US called Hallmark channel
