We are in this for the long term. They 1.5 Billion and we have 300 Million.

I'm sure you didn't include the 144 Million Russians, the 10 Million Belorussians, the 48 Million Ukranians or the other culturally "Russian" peoples. Or the 60 Million Brits. Still they've got us outnumbered and they breed like 'Rats.

I assume Checny must be Russia's main source of oil

Chechnya does not produce any oil. There are some fileds there but they are not exploited.

When are they going to stop calling them Chechyan rebels?

It's despicable that the terrorists still have hostages. Even more despicable is the fact that the news agencies - BBC, CNN, FOX, etc. - are calling them Chechen rebels, hostage takers, gunmen, attackers. Anything, apparently, but what they really are - TERRORISTS. I've been saying it all morning, too. The Chechen Terrorists, I'm sure, are counting on our unwitting legitimizing of their 'cause' by not calling them Terrorists. Blech.

A Russian news source - Newsru.com (in cyrillic)- is calling a spade, a spade. They repeated refer to them as terrorists and their actions as terror.

For what it's worth, Debka reporting some are Saudis.

I have never doubted it. Some of the scum and all of the money are Saudi's.

So what are you going to do? Find out which cities those ten terrorists came from and bomb them?

GW steps forward and utters the magic words "We are fighting a war on Wahhabism, a war on Radical Islam". Everything would be over in a matter of months. No need for much more. Just set the right direction. Once we know the enemy is the Wahabi ideology, it can be contained quite successfully. Without excesses. The problem is Saudi Nazism, why it's being covered is beyond me.

It is looking more and more like Al-Qaeda is involved and not just Chechyans like the Moscow theater.

See all those little black dots? Each of them needs a one megaton renovation.

The world will realize it soon enough; it's us or them.

Well the good news is that the major news networks are no longer calling these terrorists 'Chechen rebels' or 'attackers'. The bad news is that this is because they are no longer going to report on the incident, its all Bill Clinton, all the time(though perhaps they'll be able to squeeze in a Scott Peterson update.)

Chechen terrorists are, and always've been, a part of AlQaeda. They fought in Afghanistan with them. There some in Gitmo now. It's the same Wahhabi movement, Saudi funded.

Actually Al-Qaeda didn't move in until after the First Chechen War. That was when the terrorists and radical Islamists poured into the region. However, not all Chechen terrorists attacks are direct Al-Qaeda operations. Al-Qaeda is involved, usually with money and training, but this one sounds like some of their people fought along side the Chechens instead of sitting in the background watching the whole thing.

The problem is Saudi Nazism, why it's being covered is beyond me.

Bill Wattenberg covered why its being covered up in a treatis on the impact to America if the world experienced a severe restriction of Saudi oil. Part of the wisdom of removing Sadam was to get Iraqi oil back on line, as this would help tremendously to ameliorate a loss of Saudi oil if and when we confront Wahhabism directly. You are correct that it must be confronted. But the situation is made much more complex when oil and the jobs of millions of westerners are on the line.

Bush is taking a very smart approach, and hoping at the same time that regime change will come through democratic process as much as throug military. (For example Libia, and what may happen in Iran.) Now at sometime in the next term, W may believe the oil situation has stabilized and we may hear those words, but not likely, it may be further down the road than that.

If Al-Qaeda is involved in anyway in Chechyna, guarantee this: John Kerry will blame Bush because he was distracted by Saddam Hussein when he should have focused on Al-Qaeda.

If Kerry does this, it will totally accredit the whole reason Zell Miller is so angry - blame US first before the actual terrorists.

I was reading the obituaries this morning when a thought occurred to me. Have you ever wondered why so many people die in alphabetical order?

"I'm no fan of CNN, but you can't deny that they are hostage takers."

Calling them hostage takers is like calling Kerry a Democrat.

They are terrorists and Kerry is a Communist.

"I understand your outrage. But if we kill civilians indiscriminately, then the terrorists win: we have become like them."

I'm not so sure about this. We didn't become like the Hirohito Japs when we nuked Japan, we simply did what was needed to stop the insanity and bloodshed. Then we all got back to the business of peace, freedom and prosperity.

Nobody wants a situation where America, Russia or any other power has to bomb an Islamic city to hell, but it looks like the Muslims are doing everything they can to force this situation. Slaughtering children like this cannot be taken lying down, and a simple eye-for-an-eye retaliation will not stop them or even slow them down.

Cowardly Islam has chosen an invisible battlefield, (called 'terrorism'), to perpetuate their age-old vision of an Islamic world by ridding the earth of "infidels". They kill women and children, and they hide behind women and children. They murder, they assassinate, they behead, they kidnap, they infiltrate, they hijack, they blow up buildings, they create havoc for the 'infidel' all over the world. If it does not cease rather soon I predict the end of Islam is just around the corner.
