World shares Russia's pain
Herald Sun ^ | 6th September 2004

Posted on 09/06/2004 6:18:32 PM PDT by naturalman1975

THE slaughter in Russia, where 155 children were among the 350 who died, is a regression to barbarity

Some people might think this tragedy is unique to the brutality of the separatist war in Chechnya.

But the September 11 attack on New York and subsequent outrages, including Bali and Madrid, show the same insane ruthlessness.

There are suggestions of al-Qaida financing. Every Islamic terror group worldwide will take note of the Beslan school horror.

As Labor's homeland security spokesman Robert McClelland noted, it is every parent's worst nightmare. Russia's reply may be ruthless, but above all it must be patient and wise, to avoid further worsening a desperate and unwinnable cycle of indiscriminate violence.

It was noticeable that Russia's President Putin blamed past failures in the nation's security agencies. Mr McClelland blasted Attorney-General Philip Ruddock for raising the school hostage situation, among an appalling rise in terrorist attacks, in an election context.

But no one can now state they were irrelevant.

Mr McClelland is wrong to say the Beslan disaster should not be canvassed as part of our election debate.

He must convince voters that Labor's policy of an inquiry into security services is justified and will not distract them from their unobtrusive yet crucial duties.

As with most ALP policies, there is no funding detail on how a Homeland Security portfolio would make Australians safer in their homes, workplaces and schools.

Matt 2:17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:
Matt 2:18 A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted, because they were no more. [Jer. 31:15.]

Every Islamic terror group worldwide will applaud take note of the Beslan school horror.

like the terror groups against Israel, whose families run "wedding announcements" these will be thrilled thinking their dead associates are in Paradise now enjoying eternal copulation with 70 perpetual dark-eyed houri virgins

I suspect there is some candy-throwing and dancing going on somewhere ...

And, perhaps, take notes for a more successful venture of their own. I never thought I would live in times when I felt such despair at the evil on our planet.

yes, and the huge number of silent muslims who have to be shamed into condemning this, but said nothing on 9/11.

oh there's a few here and there, and indeed many muslims are stunned, but there's something going on and I think we are seeing the precursor to a worldwide war launched on Islam.

they are not doing enough to reign in their own terrorists, and if it's against Israel, the world shrugs, and then they attack elsewhere until people get fed up and demand their governments do something.

life will never be the same after September 11

I think the first thing they should do is give Mr. McClelland and his friends Mr. Patience and Mr. Wise a swift kick in the ass. Exactly how does one worsen a situation that already includes the murder and torture of children?

see, I'm trying to be more sensitive! ... LOL

seriously I do know some local muslims who don't support this stuff but if they are the majority they are very silent. These guys were very worried after 9/11 and put 9/11 "Never Forget" stickers all over their business.

now of course, terrorists might do the same, but I'm giving these guys the benefit of the doubt.

You know, what if heaven is exactly what you expect, and nothing more? Let's think about that for a moment - the ultimate high destiny for a muslim has been declared to be eternal sex with 70 flawless women. Do they really understand the meaning of the world eternal? The first day would be amazing. The 100th day, even the first year, tours of lust and pleasure beyond description. But there's only 70 of them, and there's only a few hundred positions, and there's only so many times you can do something, no matter how pleasureable, before the pleasure starts to fade. Even the most brutish and lustful among them would start to feel the barest tinges of boredom after, say, 400 years or so, and after that, an ever accelerating desperate attempt to recapture and even exceed the pleasure at the beginning - ever higher expenditures of energy - all for nothing. Then comes the day where he tries to destroy them, and finds that is impossible, because it is what he expects. Then he realizes he is in hell, of his own creation, for eternity.

A religion that relies solely on physical pleasure and not joy to describe heaven has no power to save its adherents from hell.

Interesting post. Consider also that the houris (so-called "virgins") aren't even human beings at all, but rather are djinn (in English "genies.") They don't have any of the "normal" female attributes or human bodily functions.

One of the things that makes human love-making interesting is that it *leads* to something: not just to a relationship, but to children, raising children, playing with grandchildren, feeling that you're part of a great chain moving through history.

But since houris have no normal human female capabilities besides being receptacles, there is nothing *else* to follow all this sexual indulgence. It truly would be eventually a grinding repetitive horror, with inhuman monsters.

What a nightmare of a religious view.

Well put. Besides, what kind of primitive immature religion is all about pleasing one's penis and abusing women. Sheesh!

Yep. The muslim world is dancing in the streets over the fulfillment of the greatest sacraments of their filthy religion: rape and murder of innocents.

Sick ba$tartds!

I agree. Putin said it best when he said September 3, 2004 is Russia's September 11, 2004.

It is sad. Hope Russia will see that nobody is safe in this new world danger.

the commentary on the ha'dith that I bought (it's on Amazon.Com and I first saw it at Barnes and Noble) quotes an imam assuring followers that orgasms will last 600 years.

I am not making this up. I can give you the ISBN of this book.
