But these Indians are educating themselves at our universities. I think it has more to do with desire. The Indians are simply hungrier. Americans have grown fat and lazy, partially due to our success and partially due to socialism (notice we're not talking about the EU).

Many Indian engineers come from the India Institute of Technology. They do get advanced degrees at US universities. But if they work for 1/5 of what Americans make, it makes no economic sense whatever for Americans to go into debt to go to engineering / CS school.

I don't get it. We have Indian and Chinese engineering students flooding our engineering schools, and sure as heck not to get those low-paying jobs in their home countries, but the high-paying jobs here, and we have folks whining that "I ain't gonna send my son or daughter to E-school." So much for rewarding the best and brightest, we need to protect ourselves from them, they're not American enough. What a joke.
