Authenticity backed on Bush documents By Francie Latour and Michael Rezendes, Globe Staff | September 11, 2004
After CBS News on Wednesday trumpeted newly discovered documents that referred to a 1973 effort to ''sugar coat" President Bush's service record in the Texas Air National Guard, the network almost immediately faced charges that the documents were forgeries, with typography that was not available on typewriters used at that time.
But specialists interviewed by the Globe and some other news organizations say the specialized characters used in the documents, and the type format, were common to electric typewriters in wide use in the early 1970s, when Bush was a first lieutenant.
Philip D. Bouffard, a forensic document examiner in Ohio who has analyzed typewritten samples for 30 years, had expressed suspicions about the documents in an interview with the New York Times published Thursday, one in a wave of similar media reports. But Bouffard told the Globe yesterday that after further study, he now believes the documents could have been prepared on an IBM Selectric Composer typewriter available at the time......

They repeat the same false assertion as Blather - that the "th" in Bush's real Guard memos is the same as the one in the disputed documents.
" In fact, one such raised ''th," used to describe a Guard unit, the 187th, appears in a document in Bush's official record that the White House made public earlier this year."
Unbelievable! Or for the Globe, or "Glob" as we folks in Massachusetts like to call it, this is just par for the course.
The "th" in the authentic Bush documents is clearly not the same, as has been pointed out many times in the pages of FR. But hey, what can you expect from a newspaper that not only published as genuine "alleged" Abu Graib torture pictures that were quickly proven to be fakes, but the pictures were x-rated, with male and female body parts clearly being visible.
It looks the the article authors either ignored the reality of the two clearly different versions of "th" or took Blather's reporting at its word. Either way, the Glob needs to do a serious journalistic integrity check....
The patent bias and lack of objectivity of the Globe is shameful.
What a surprise!
Even if it is possible a state of the art typewriter could do this, there is nothing to explain the phoney PO Box, which eliminates all doubts.
Killian did not like using the typewriter, Where are the 'type-overs' for corrections?
That was debunked, actually.

The Glob may just be one little finger in the breaking dyke. I can only imagine that RATher's forgeries will be the subject of some of the Sunday Morning talking heads tomorrow.
The IBM Selectric Composer theory has been debunked:

The documents are fake. Period.
We have CBS, New York Times, and Boston Globe all in the same commode.
I just hope this doesn't clog up the sewer pipes.
"Common" is an out-and-out lie. The only model that could even possibly do these things is an UNcommon, high-end IBM used by experienced professionals for use in creation of documents for offset printing.
The Boston Globe KNEW the pics were porn, knew they were from a porn site frequented by Boston Globe reporters,
and knew they were held by an admitted racist who segregates whites from meetings,
and outrageously and odiously said they were from "credible" sources.
The Boston Globe KNEW lies were being published so as to result in murders of Americans.
The proterrorist writers at the Boston Globe KNEW exactly what they were doing.

This latest lie against AMERICA was from none other than the bow-tied home of liar Jayson Blair =====> The Boston Globe.
More examples?
From The Boston Globe's (and New York Times') own wars against the War for Enduring Freedom.
The Boston Globe has a history of falsifying front page polls
BOSTON GLOBE FABRICATES FRONT-PAGE POLL [4/9/03]
The ever-lying Boston Globe (owned and operated by the New York Times)
on 5/19/4 falsely on the front page [above the fold]
reported that Israel killed two Palestinian children, EVEN THOUGH the Boston Globe knew
that the Arab children killed in Gaza died as a result of terrorists not IDF soldiers.
CONCLUSION: The Boston Globe is ONLY happy when inciting murder against Americans and Israelis.
If she had lived (being abandoned alive in a submerged car driven by Sen Kennedy),
Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old.
Through his tireless work as a legislator,
(Democrat) Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age.

See how the media spins? Does this mean it's going to be a dead issue? Or a slam against Americans for Truth?
HERE'S A DEMONSTRATION AND PROOF THAT THE MEMOS WERE TYPED ON A COMPUTER.

IBM Selectric Composer appears to be excluded as well:
