This issue will not die out and go away even if SeeBS tries to apologize and explain it away as a mistake. This will become as big an issue in history as Watergate. This campaign is now officially over. Kerry is toast.

I wish I could be sure that you are right.
This will not convince Bush haters to change.
That target group of undecided independents or moderate Dems probably don't even watch the political news, much less follow the Blogosphere.
CBS may be tactically sound in stonewalling. The fact that others seem to have received the phony memos may unhinge that tactic, though.

This will become as big an issue in history as Watergate.Ah, but don't forget the media bias. Nixon was a Republican. Kerry is "their boy," and more importantly, Anybody But Bush. They're hemming and hawing and dragging their feet on this as long as they can, hoping the American populace's memory is short indeed. (Then they can distract We The Sheeple -- not including the Internet Pajama "Brownshirts" -- with the next Bush-is-a-slacker story.)
