Olbermann Lays Out Right-Wing Conspiracy Behind Faked Memos (Brent Bozell ID's Buckhead)
Media Research Center ^ | 9/14/04 | Brent Baker

The originator of the online discrediting of the Killian memos identifed himself only as 'Buckhead,' but a little sleuthing on the website pulls up his other postings and thus a lot more about him.

On the site, (MSNBC displays FreeRepublic.com page with the Buckhead posting) Buckhead claims he is a lawyer from the Atlanta area who participated last month in a meeting of lawyers for Bush-Cheney, an organization he said will be called upon in the event there are election irregularities and everyone winds up in court again.

He says he was worked for a Congressman prominent in GOP legal circles down in Georgia.

So the Killian documents come out and are almost immediately questioned by a lawyer with Republican ties and are distributed to other news organiztions without comment by the White House and they nly have one of their principal endorsers (Bobby Hodges) retract his endorsement.

I saw the show and it was so pathetic how they scanned Buckheads posts to try to get any info they could about him. But, that's what happens if a person dares to undermine the liberal spin machine in this country. They should have been investigating the stupid fraudulent documents in the first place, not Buckhead. All of these news agencies are just looking for the easy stuff to report on. Why don't they find out more and report more about the lies coming out of the Kerry camp? Maybe they are news girly-men?

Careful now. Someone at "The Note" might read your post and go on a conspiracy bender. Here's my theory: Dan Rather is a Nixon plant who spent the last 35 years acting like a liberal kook just to make Democrats look foolish in the year 2004.

Olbermann's upset because "Operation Fortunate Son" was smoked, despite the continued halfhearted execution. Olbermann expected this week to be about Mr. Rather's questions. Instead, to put it in terms Olbermann might understand, conservatives picked up the blitz, and now the demos are exposed.

Olberman is using intimidation.
This calls for a Federal Investigation.
Buckhead did not put himself/herself in the public arena.

Well, I guess I've been warned. I'll have to be careful what I post here because I wouldn't want anyone to figure out where I'm from or my party affiliation.

OK, time for a Ludlumesque approach to this whole thing:

The late Robert Ludlum's ghost writers need to crank out The Buckhead Identity.

Geeez Keith. WE are just a bunch of dumb Republicans who could never outsmart even an average Democrat let along somebody like sophisticated, nuanced Dan Rather.

It had to be somebody much smarter, Maybe someone like John Kerry or Paul Begala or Jim Carville. Let us know when you locate this political genius in the DNC or Kerry staff.

This strikes me as an attempt to "out" Buckhead so they can smear him.

Forget Olberman. Instapundit has been getting more page hits than Olberman has viewers - at a fraction of the overhead.

"How can one search for Buckhead's ( or anyones) posts? "

I think they have to be logged on. I can't test my thesis because I can't log off and do a search.

"Olberman is a jackass who should go back to reporting sports scores. What is so ominous and mysterious about a Republican lawyer not taking CBS's sloppily researched nonsense at face value? "

Oh, come on! Follow the logic. All Republicans are slack jawed drunks who sit around in their pajamas. I find it highly suspicious Buckhead was able to declare a fishy smell to the documents in under 2 hours.. he should have been drunk by then. lol...

Click on the poster's name after a post. Then you'll get to his FR homepage, where there will be a few links, one of which will be "In Forum".

Click that, and it will bring up the posts by that person.
