Olbermann Lays Out Right-Wing Conspiracy Behind Faked Memos (Brent Bozell ID's Buckhead)
Media Research Center ^ | 9/14/04 | Brent Baker

The originator of the online discrediting of the Killian memos identifed himself only as 'Buckhead,' but a little sleuthing on the website pulls up his other postings and thus a lot more about him.

On the site, (MSNBC displays FreeRepublic.com page with the Buckhead posting) Buckhead claims he is a lawyer from the Atlanta area who participated last month in a meeting of lawyers for Bush-Cheney, an organization he said will be called upon in the event there are election irregularities and everyone winds up in court again.

He says he was worked for a Congressman prominent in GOP legal circles down in Georgia.

So the Killian documents come out and are almost immediately questioned by a lawyer with Republican ties and are distributed to other news organiztions without comment by the White House and they nly have one of their principal endorsers (Bobby Hodges) retract his endorsement.

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann sees a grand conspiracy in "how the documents came to be so quickly and thoroughly refuted on a right-wing Web site not two hours after they were first revealed on CBS

Olbermann: Another 1 watt bulb thinking he's a beacon.

"These people" are going hard-ball to intimidate the internet users by showing they can track you/us down. Now THAT isn't crickett and smacks of intimidation. They really ARE scared, aren't they? Nevertheless, the threat by the Left of the loss of anonimity on this and other websites smacks of another time in the world's history, and not a good one.

REALLY desperate people/entities/news organizations do REALLY desperate and (despicable) things, don't they???

It took him 6 days to figure that out. No wonder Democrats regard themselves as intellectually superior...

Don't you mediaresearch.com guys ever get tired of brown-nosing for the mainstream media? What's the matter? Isn't Dan Rather returning your calls, either?

MediaResearch.org doesn't brown nose the MSM - its one of the biggest watchdogs of media bias. MediaResearch.org was just pointing out how Olbermann is basically functioning as a DNC operative.

I think we need a new thread where we all do six degrees of separation between us and Karl Rove.

I played football with Ed McCaffrey, who caught passes from John Elway, who introduced President Bush in Denver today, and Bush is casual acquaintances with... KARL ROVE!

Guilty as charged, I wrote the memos at Karl Rove's behest. He blackmailed me over my 2001 Halloween costume :(

Yes, why are they not investigating who gave the documents to CBS? Have they ever reported on that???

Buckhead is admiracle not only in catching what was wrong with the document but also in expressing his view in the forum. My husband thought the same thing about the documents when he saw them, said they were fakes, not only because of the font but also because of the format. But he doesn't post here, he only lurks.

My point: anybody who knew familiar with documents would have seen that it was a fake (which is prob why CBS did not show it to Hodges). I don't understand why they seemingly fixate on Buckhead as an RNC operative on this.

They say that like it's a bad thing.

Okay - I worked for Lt Gov Hobby (Dem) in Texas and volunteered to help the Maryland Republican Party. Hey Prettyboy Keith - do I have a right to question Big Media?

Ignore for a moment that Carville and Begala from CNN are on the Kerry campaign, as is that slimely Boston Globe reporter. Lets spin ur wheels smearing Buckhead instead of looking into which DNC/Kerry staffer shopped forged documents to CBS, USA Today, NY Time, and Boston Globe...

Keith, the media is sinking and Teddy Kennedy is the life-boat pilot. Good to see that your part of the crew.

#32 Good one! Quite literary too! What would Olbermann do if he learns that Buckhead is a black man or a woman? LOL (BTW Did you know that Buckhead is one of my screen names? LOL)

1) Yes, we passed the forged documents to Dan Rather. 2) Yes, we planted the Rose Law Firm billing records on a table in the White House residence. 2) Yes, we recommended Monica for the intern job at the White House.

There's some other stuff too. I can't remember all of it. Now I feel better.

Just don't tell them our mothership is at Area 51. We'll crush these puny humans yet... oops.

I'll have to be careful what I post here because I wouldn't want anyone to figure out where I'm from or my party affiliation.

Good thinking, Southside_Chicago_Republican, you can never be too careful.
